The current meta is conditions for every class pretty much. With Crt dmg being nerfed this will only become more true. I may start work on a condi guardian soon……

It’s been featured in upcoming balance previews (likely to be coming into effect next month). Crit damage as a stat will turn from being a % into a number. It won’t actually have too much of an affect to low levels of crit damage, but for high levels will effectively nerf it by about 10%, making glass builds less effective in both WvW and PvE.

The current meta isn’t conditions for every class, unless you are roaming. Even then, you will still find power based thieves. The large groups are dominated by tanky warriors and guardians with other professions supporting. Most of these are power based as well, because condition removal in large groups are numerous. Then again, on smaller populated servers, you might run into it more.
Thieves and mesmers aside, condition bunker classes dominate roaming and skirmish teams. Large scale play has not changed at all… if anything the meta has doubled down on Guard Wars making heavy classes kings of large group play.
So if you are running somewhere you will be descended upon by hordes of thieves. If you are hunting around an enemy waypoint, expect to see a lot of mesmers. Roaming skirmish teams have almost all become anchored by condi bunkers including Guardians, Necros, Eles. Particularly effective ones will have a player chilled almost the entire fight.
If you see a zerg, stay out of its direct path because hammer trains are in full effect.
