After 100mins in queue i find wvw is incredible unplayable with big lags and skill lags.GG anet next time use brain and remove link servers (with 3 link servers i see +150 queue on normal and +200 on eternal) or remove or lower that stupid gem price for transfer server or Increase server space for more stability or make more maps that 3.

im number 165 in line for eb

Price you pay for having a game mode that isn’t considered dead. Just because some people made it their home doesn’t mean it was ever meant to be their personal playground. There are drawbacks to having high interest in the game mode and guilds and others are just going to have to learn to adjust.

A.net can probably do a lot to alleviate this. If the population remains high then they have to do something about servers no doubt.

When WvW was considered to be at it’s peak, we had queues everywhere every day and literally had to be on a border 1-2 hours ahead of scheduled raiding times or it was just to forget about getting everyone in for the evening.

But now it’s apparently a joke instead.

It’s the first day of a Feature Pack, of course it’s going to be crowded. Not sure what you expected.

Patience is a virtue, Newbs will soon get rolled by skilled fight groups and many bags will be had. Many of us will have to wait out queues, but those will soon start to fade as the Newbs get frustrated and start going back to their pve safe spaces.

Bwhahaha…I cannot even login to give an opinion. Trying now for 30 minutes… “We’re sorry…the server you are trying to reach is………” Anywho I kind of expected the login issues and queues.

Queues are ridiculous on Desolation, who aren’t even linked. They’re gonna have to try get people to organize things somehow, but there’s literally dozens of PVE players that won’t all cooperate, let’s see if they actually become a part of WvW, unlike those tournaments. I doubt it though.

I love the changes. And for all of you whom do not I think so, well you have two options. Either play the game or do not. If you leave let me be the first to say BY FELICIA!! Do not let the doorknob hit ya where the good lord split ya!!

Cooperate? I understand your frustration. BUT everyone has the same rights to play any avenue of the game. ANET put armor out of reach for PvE’rs IMO unless they stay. Doubt that will happen. WvW’rs wanted better rewards, ascended armor (better than the RNGesus drops) better skirmishing and better fights. Be careful what you ask for…you just might get it. Truly I understand your frustration and it will soon fade hopefully when people there for what they think they can get, can’t get and leave.

1st) Servers cant handle this much people.

2nd) wins who has more aoe output and gets less lagged, ive see groups one side can spam their aoe crap and sometimes is my side who can spam stuff while the other side is shutded dow in lag and can only dodge…..
AOE/Cleave spam should had been reduced to avoid this lag wars…

Imo they should fix the spam wars on pvp gamemode 1st then rewards who playes better and not by who can full stack a entire blob.

The pve class design already made pvp fail looks like they are enforcing it, it wasnt eneught to end pvp.

Funny, the “overstacked” maguuma ended up with 135/4/8/8 today, to be honest, its not too bad to have people on maps besides EBG

Biggest “joke” is that there is now even more Lag. In Primetime it lag so hard.

This is very worrying, where many new tags on WvW maps do not understand systematically from WvW itself. Many of the new tags are just looking for wexp without fighting, this will only damage the prestige of WvW in my opinion. WvW will not be the same again.

Assuming they unlink; where will they set the glicko for the slave servers since they haven’t gotten anything since being linked? Be interesting to see how many move considering Anet did the server loyalty thing before rewards kicked in too.

I popped in queue at 125. I knew it’d be a long wait and that was fine. Waited the 2.5 hrs and was finally at position 8. “New Build Available”. FML..

So I relog and update, get in and queue’s 41, not terrible. Get in queue. Network error.

Try to rush back in, queue is 95.

I didn’t even mind waiting the 2+hrs the first time, but the rest was just… too much.

We’ve had this issue for years and you’re just finding this out now because you want a free ride on the legendary train. How about you post something constructive and help encourage the devs to give our game mode more dedicated resources to alleviate the issue.

I’m good with there being so many people. I just logged in when I came in from work and entered queue while I was doing stuff around the house, then each time I would pass the pc, I would just tap ‘w’ or ‘s’ to keep it from timeout disconnect.

It just sucked for my situation specifically that I finally got to spot 8 and was ready then new build forced re-entering the queue at a further position, then the network dump which caused me to be almost where I had started.

I’ll be multi logging my guild in to the borders via remote access while the noobs work at their people jobs during the day.

We’ll be juuuuuuuuuuust fine.

Which server are people in high queues on? If you’re on BG too bad for stacking on a server for only 1 reason.

I’m on Mag, but I’ve been on Mag since launch. To be fair, as someone else on Mag mentioned, the q’s were something like 125, 10, 8, and 14. I just happened to get into the 125 ebg because I knew I would be busy for a bit and could wait in the meantime.

Normally, I would have just went into one of the Borderlands and hung around there.

But, we don’t ktrain during pst or the one having 4 map queues during eu or are we the one having map queue during sea or the one with a thread here talking about how one want to transfer out or the one despite all advantage, still struggles in t3.

PS: I tagged and farmed everyone right after the patch, hitting 1.89 kdr in match history! It was glorious.

Calm down people, everyone knew this was going to happen.

Of course everyone who hasn’t ever set foot in WvW came to check out the new vendors and try the gamemode out of curiosity, most of them will be gone in a few days tops. Of course, some of the newcomers will stay, so obviously the general population has risen. We can expect more queues than before, but outside prime time it’s going to be business as usual.

This is what we all wanted right?

1st day is literally a novelty and dims down after a week when players/newbies find out it’s such a grind/time gate and decide whether or not they enjoy WvW as game mode. Expect queues to drop after that time.

Who wouldn’t expect huge queues/mega lag due to everyone and their mum’s brown dog in there for the new shinies?

None of my 20 characters has a check on ‘show backpiece’. And I guess it will be another pair of wings. It’s kind of nice that there is an initative to try out wvw but those who genuinely play it are really exhausted anyway, so to me this is another nail in the coffin and I’ve got one reason less to log in.

And yeah, see how well it goes without veteran players.

yeah it’s a bit insane. I’m 4k+ and it took me 17 hours to finish diamond

Seeing as I have a high wvw rank it’s going to take someone who has a lower wvw rank much longer to finish every week. Because of the large influx of people into wvw in T1 it wasn’t viable to map hop to chase the outnumbered buff for the bonus 5 pips.

My pve friend who is trying to get into wvw has less than 400 wvw ranks and spent the entire time with me, I don’t get the feeling he feels excited to play 3+ hours a night if he wants to get the maximum number of tickets per week.

tldr: PvP and wvw backpieces took significantly shorter time periods to obtain

Thats the obvious fix for the empty maps. The current spike in population will go dow rather soon, so just dont play for few days/week or be ok with waiting in the queue.
Lag on other hand is impossible to fix, Nobody came even close to fix that issue in any game. Its annoying and can be game breaking, but its part of the whole.

BG wasn’t bad last night. The biggest queue i saw around 10pm NA eastern time was about 40-50. I didn’t even get to finish Bitterfrost berry and ice chest farm before Q popped for EBG.

Granted i also didn’t see any of my WvW guild online last night. They’re probably waiting for reset.

Many wvw players ask for #makewvwgreatagain and now that we get q people start to qq.

anyway when almost all pvers will get their legendary backpacks wvw will return as before………or worse than before.

That’s because BG is not linked to another server. Mag is also not linked so still able to get their regulars (guilds) in too.

Two things primetime queues prevent at T1 are (1) cross-map help calls and (2) supply levels moving across maps.

On #1, it feels very hit/miss to get fights and you keep facing the same opponents if you do. On #2, that wouldn’t be so bad but the problem is it’s a snowball effect where whomever has the better position/number of keeps/supply/refreshed siege before primetime basically gets to keep owning the majority of the map throughout. Otherwise, you end up splitting zergs for supply run attempts.
