Zergs are encouraged in WvWvW
If a thief is able to keep a group of 20 at a supply camp, the 20 at the supply camp are doing it wrong.
Arrow carts needed to be buffed. They should just unlock the zoom so that we all can just zoom out. I’d like to zoom out a bit more anyway. I would not attribute people using a hack to ANet encouraging zergs. Not all hacks are easy to detect or fix.
ANet stated WvW was ment to be battles involving large numbers of people. Not sure why you are complaining.
Something you do not understand about larges scale battles? WvW is made for massive pvp fights spvp is made for smaller fights.

Zergs are encouraged but your particular arguments are terrible… Points 2 and 3 are anti-zerg. Though AC is more turtle/siege-wars meta which is bad for its own reasons.
Supply traps force zergs out of blob formations and/or punish bad zergs for being bad. You can always see when a stealth thief is near btw, but if you don’t know, I’m not telling.

You need to learn how to deal with it.
Commander tags encourage zergs, for one.
As a pug that’s not affiliated with a strong WvW guild, I jump into WvW, hop on TS, and follow whichever blue icon is running around at the time.
zerging is cool though, i got no beef with it.
The subject of this thread should be “zergs are discouraged in WvW” because all three things cited work against zergs.
downed is the enemy of a large zerg — a smaller, more organized force that focuses on getting enemies down and spiked, while avoiding getting downed themselves, can easily decimate a zerg. every player who dies creates an opportunity for an enemy to rally. the side with more people gives more opportunities.
arrow carts help disperse zergs. they’re finally strong enough to give players a reason to get out of the red circles.
supply traps encourage zergs to spread out, so they don’t all get hit by the AoE effect.
looks like Arenanet has been doing a good job adding things to the game to help discourage zergs.
