When will people learn:

1) Anet dont care about WvW
2) Anet dont know what the word Balance means

Knowing Anet, they will nerf the new runes to the point they become unusable. They really need to STOP doing the balancing and bring in people that know how to balance content. All the skills and traits that have first been over buffed, then over nerfed.

This game will NEVER be balanced with them in control.

I don’t think they considered Warrior mechanics when they created this, and more importantly, how it might impact WvW.

while that may be the case, what about giving engineers access to an AOE torment? engineers can already mop the floor with cond dmg. or Necros with even more conditions?

they are just trying to make cond dmg decent for PvE and making WvW nothing but mass conditions/borderline stupid.

They have no interest in WvW, personally i think it was a cheap mode due to the character system (no Faction Vs Faction aka World PvP) I think it has been clear from the start they dont really know what they are doing when it comes to updates, buffs and nerfs when it comes to how it will affect WvW

They are likely doing it to try and force people to play S/TPvP as they know it is a complete mess at the moment and they think that it can become a E-Sport is full on crazy.

Could someone explain how the rune of perplexity allows stacking confusion that high? Am I missing something.

Also, the necro torment thing is good but not as strong as some other options imo (rune of the adventurer). Necros don’t need cover conditions as their condis are spammed over time, making cleansing nearly useless.

Oh I see, the warrior skill gives 4 stacks, and I am assuming the rune does as well. This simply needs an ICD so that professions spamming interrupts can’t confusion bomb others so easily.

Wow, these are REALLY OP on thieves, maybe even more than warriors. So much spammable dazes (duration doesn’t matter) and confusion just piles up like nuts. On D/P, you just headshot whenever you want. If you take daze on steal, you get another stun/interrupt to confuse your opponents. You can complete prevent cures and stack up confusion. Its a bit rediculous.

yeah ty anet for giving every class an easy way to stack confusion, while the class that actually should be specialized in confusion had to give up everything and alone didnt even get 25 stacks. sry not logging on till this gets fixed. this is a slap in the face for every mesmer!anet has absoutely no clue about balance or anything and i main a mesmer and this is absolut bullkitten!

this whole patch is an absolute nightmare for wvw!

This rune needs an internal cooldown of 15 seconds or so for the #6 ability. With 30 points to trait line, which increases condition duration and +40% confusion duration consumable, you can achieve +100% confusion uptime on ANY profession.

Currently each single interrupt (daze, stun, knockdown, pull, push, launch etc) causes confusion:

Everything is balanced (lol balance…w/e) around spvp, implications in pve and wvw are not even a nusiance.

Seafarer’s Rest EU – PvE/WvW – 8 × 80 chars.
Most used: Guard/Mes/War/Nec/Ele.
Yes, i use 5 chars at time. Because REASONS.

Yeah, they screwd up big time. And it would be nice if they actually tried to do something about it, but I really fail to see any effort in that way. Sure, we had votes, living world events and all that kitten but who gives a kitten, srsly, i want some pvp, some action. They advertised wvw as a major innovative awesome feature and that’s what brought me to buy the game, and since i can’t have my money back it would be nice if they could think at some improvements.

Because seriously, they’ve made such a big issue about gw2 not being “that mmorpg” in which you need to chase new items and such but the only ideas i’ve seen them pulling out were introducing ascended / laurels and rank abilities.

yeah these runes throw the whole wvw out of balance as everyone no can stack confusion easily. torment rune has at least a huge cd, but this rune makes a warrior insta stck 9 stacks of confusion and they last for 10 kitten seconds. i mean who designs something like that? that is absolutely op and buffing classes that really dont need a bff at all! ty anet for destroying a fun game. i really dont feel like logging on atm. all the bugs and now this.
sorry this makes the mesmer look like a class with no role anymore. we are not the magical duelists who wield deception as a weapon. Using powerful illusions, clones, and phantasmal magic to confuse and distract their foes anymore.

we are the guys that can have a few clones or phantasms and a shatter and even more useles mantras that u have to recharge over and over and therefor arent viable in wvw.
now mesmers are veilbots. we have a condition attached to many of our traits that is now easier to stack for a warrior and a thief.
mesmers get more and more 1v1 babythings that are utterly useless in wvw and now this? geez ty anet, now at least i know that u hate mesmers so much that we have skills that other classes master way better than us!
rare veggie pizzas went skyrocket because of this too! this destoyed balance in wvw!

I dont really get what you are talking about, but I assume you are a mesmer trying to explain to me why the confusion nerf was bad in the first place.
As a Mesmer myself I can say that the confusion nerf was needed. The galmour builds are still strong in certain moments. But they are (and always were) boring to me.

This rune however is bullkitten for the reasons you described. I agree.

nah the thing is everyone was whining about confusion and now the same people come here and say, hey just dont spam buttons. glam builds were very strong but it got overnerfed for mesmers with the bb nerf that made confusion hard to stack and the 50 percent of course.

The confusion proccing has a CD of 15 seconds, though I’m not sure what the CD is for the confusion on interruption that you seen to be able to get as well

Let’s be honest here. Anet didn’t player test the new runes. When first released, the Perplexity 4/6 bonus proc’d on the player instead of the target! If they tested the runes for more than 30 seconds, there’s no way that bug would have slipped through.

I’m sure something will be done before too long. Perplexity is not absurd as the Torment runes w/o an ICD (so fun while it lasted), but the 6/6 bonus needs either an ICD, stack reduction, or duration reduction.

The hilarity comes from realizing that the very first incarnation of the rune wasn’t a hugely embarrassing error on the rune designer’s part.
