Against Hammerfell.
Dagger/pistol.
Strength Runes. <— Scholar Runes will do more damage.
Open with basilisk + #3 -> Steal -> Autoattack -> Shadowshot for blind -> Autoattack -> Shadowshot to maintain blind -> Heartseeker once below 25% HP.

On average I kill him in 13-16 seconds. 4 Gambits except for Squemish and Crowd Favourite.

PS: I run 4 signets, malice, power, precision, and initiative passive only.

How fast are other classes?

6/4/0/0/4 Spectral Wall with Terror included.
15 seconds is tops.

Been doing it since last year when necro was much weaker. Now it’s just faceroll.

But the guy never replied and told me what the actual build was.
I wish the guy would respond, cause I really want to try this out.

• Swordsman -> Signet of Ether -> Swordsman -> Berserker
• Kite him, sitting on GS. Use GS, and/or signets to knock him away if he gest to close.
• Usually dies in 10-15 seconds.

I think you gravely over-estimate how long other class’ cooldowns are :p

^ Thief has no cooldown whatsoever though. No reliance on any cooldown skill except 4 passive signets and occasionally using Shadowshot (which has no cooldown).

Nope, I run as a mesmer endless, never had to wait a single cd to re-enter arena. And I farm 5-gambits tyre. .

So, yes, u understimate the other classes cd’s. Even as a warrior, or my ele I never have to wait any cd…

hmm yeah indeed maybe your right. i was more thinking of the ranger video and WP’s elementalist video. i never realy seen mesmer farming it

Basically the same. S/p – Gs , 2 sigils, blink. All but crowd favorite.

I’m skeptic 5 gambits with Squemished can be repeatedly done continuously for 15 seconds per fight considering you’re doing 50% less damage. :|

How fast are other classes?

Here’s a faster one for your thief:

5/6/0/0/3
Sword/Pistol
Take all the DPS boosting traits for a S/P build
Heal: Signet of Malice
Utility: Assassin’s Signet, Haste, Infiltrator’s Signet
Elite: If doing it once, use Thieves Guild, but if you’re farming it, use Basilisk.

Gear is pure berserker, etc.

Go against Deadeye Dunwell.
Take the following Cantrips for bonus: Exhausted, Frailty, and Hamstring. Squeamish is doable, but not recommended.

Strat is simple: Infiltrator’s Strike to port to him, cast Haste, then spam Pistol Whip. If he ports away, just use steal or Inf Signet. Just make sure he’s not standing on a bomb when you do so.

This is about as fast as WoodenPotato’s strat with an ele, but I haven’t timed it to compare.

I’ll try it out, but I doubt it’s quicker considering Dagger auto/2HS has pretty high DPS. Unless deadeye happen to have lower HP than hammerfall or something. I’d imagine the bomb placements could also cause some random deaths at one point or another.

EDIT: Tested, about the same amount of time. Didn’t use Haste considering it has a 60sec CD.

Use haste. It’s better than a small precision boost considering the short duration of the fight, even if you don’t get to use it every time. Realistically though, I rarely find that there’s an arena open without a wait thanks to megaservers, which makes Haste even better.

As for bomb placements: As long as you don’t just hit Steal without looking, you shouldn’t have any issues.

Thief for sure is the king/queen at farming chances, I have seen other classes farm at equal speed, but one slip and its 5~6 chance gone+rez time(which happen quite often after 1+ hour of farming).

For thief, tab→3,111,5,111111,5,111111…., I literally do it with eyes close.
