Yes, I mean it. I like this armor on my Norn female necro. There’s been alot of flak about some of the other armors in this patch, but I’m glad to see a non-stripper light armor added.

I did opt to keep the necro Demon mask for a helm, and chose Student mantle for shoulders (the Trickster ones were just too much), but otherwise I like the armor. Color scheme is Midnight Yew, Envy and Ash. My screenshots always come out dark, so I lightened them with MS Picture Manager.

Trickster gloves are phenom on male characters. Can’t afford it for my necro atm, but eventually I’d like to get it. If only someone wanted to give me a gift hint hint! :P xD

:D If they would offer them as single pieces I would gift it to you and others in a heartbeat.

Hehe, I appreciate the thought. I kinda wish they would do piece-sales, I honestly only want the Chest/Gloves and boots for my necro, the rest I wouldn’t really use except on a female light user. I wish the male shoulders looked like the female ones, they’re so awesome on female.

I absolutely love this set – I wish it was medium armor for my thief – the Viper armor is just atrocious.

I agree with the Viper set, not a fan of many medium. This is the general formula for GW2 armor:
Light – Epic with terrible helms
Medium – Bland with a few decent pieces here and there.
Heavy – Epic, only one with a variety of cool helms. x.X

I love the new light armour set, except for the mask, I really dislike the endless stream of eye covering masks. But the rest of the set is great, so great in fact that I actually changed my mesmer look after months of having the same look.

Now here’s hoping for some venetian style full face covering masks and some kind of jester outfit so I can mix and match into a perfect look. :p

Wow, that looks so much better than on males. Males the only thing I could get like was the chest. Leggings were too similar to phoenix armor. Gloves and feet are great mesmer gloves, hard to pull off on other professions. Mask same story. My necro just matched and matched with the chest.

Honestly the only reason I’m not buying this for Elise is because her current outfit fits my ice wraith theme much more.

Agreed. I don’t get why light helms can’t be…helms.

i got this set for my male mesmer and i think it looks great… it is a nice caster look without going the route of full floor-length robes.

i’d like to see some sets similar in silhouette to the original guild wars ele armor, but this is a definite step up from the previous gem store releases imo. hope to see more like this.

I’d like to show some love for the male version, too. I always feel like it’s super hard to find some bare arm action for male scholars.

It’s ridiculously awesome for mix and matched armors. I haven’t bought it yet but I’m already having nice ideas for it. (Male and female)

I also want this armor for my Necro. Its very different and something I’ve been waiting for. Not many good Necro sets outside of the realm of being super Necro or not Necro enough if you know what I mean. I think this is a interesting median.

Only thing that looks distinctly strange to me is the boots and I’m just not sure why. Maybe I am just used to full length robes/skirts.

I love this set too. Only it’s wrong for my light characters. I wish they had a stone that would change the value of armor. I would buy that, and change this to medium! It would be sooo perfect for my engineer. It’s looks like it was made to have some guns at the hip, or a rifle on the back!

Colors do make the difference. I was sold on it by the top.. the rest I don’t really love but until I can find a bottom to go with them I am playing with the full set.

The only downside I’ve noticed is with the lack of pants under the coat so that when swimming underwater, my gal’s legs are completely bare so that I’m looking at her crotch. Kinda weird.

I was sort of meh about it until I previewed it with different dyes. Now I have the coat and skirt, with AC boots to hide the thighs thus (though I haven’t swum in it, you have me worried, TheAgedGnome):

Jazzllanna, try the AC pants, they almost work with the top. I didn’t check the Aether skirt as that’s not this alt’s style.

Yeah I did try them.. I agree they almost work- but my husband said it looked weird lol. I am hoping that Wintersday will bring me that 1 outfit that I just want to keep- since I can no longer afford the runes and to craft a armor set to change my outfits around continuously and anet does not seem to be looking to change this. I guess in the end it saves me money but kind of stinks at the same time.

Really? Non-Stripper? All the armors in this game are way to conservative in my opinion, to the point where they are just boring or ugly. Arenanet should take a look at the armors in Tera for some much needed inspiration.
