You’ve all seen what the sylvari did to Lion’s Arch. All sylvari should be hunted down and handed over to the charr to be used as firewood at meatoberfest. No sylvari can be trusted. The Pale Tree must be destroyed!

With that logic we should kill all sentient races because of some bad few in the whole of the race.Lets kill all charr because of the searing and the flame legion,lets kill all asura because of the inquest’s immoral experiments etc etc.

Nope just the Sylvari. Besides, they’re not real living beings, just plants. Best fit for heating homes.

I, on the other hand, would merely like to point out that, while the current destruction of Lion’s Arch was the doing of one sylvari, Scarlet Briar (who may or may not have been at least partially indoctrinated by an Elder Dragon), it was also a sylvari (Trehearne) that organized the Pact and played a key role in the defeat of the Elder Dragon Zhaitan.

Most sylvari are generally peaceful and good-natured. On the other hand, YOU’RE advocating the genocide of an entire race.

I think my sylvari would make several fancy rugs before she became firewood, not that it’ll ever happen because sylvari are a proud and terrifying race….they just don’t know it yet

You do realize that species or cultures who are threatened with genocide tend to multiply? Right???

Take coyotes. Where I live, regular coyote hunts isn’t allowed because it causes the female coyotes to produce more pups.

In the case of Sylvari: If you kill or persecute the salad people, then they will take root and multiply. Their bodies will eventually adapt and evolve, and they will become a stronger force than the humans, norn, and charr put together. Scarlet Briar was proof that there are geniuses in their group, and they will eventually rival the Asura anyways.

There are even recorded cases on the Tarnished Coast of Sylvari having intimate relations with members of the other races (esp. the Asura ). Earlier this year, a bunch of Asura got caught getting it on with their leafy friends. It’s been the talk in Rata Sum since the beginning of the year.

Knowing the Asura, I wouldn’t be surprised if they come up with a way make half plant / half Asura progeny. We did fight a sylvari / krait hybrid in the Nightmare Tower, so it’s not as far fetched as it sounds.

b) immune to any mammalian STI’s due to being plants, and vice versa.

Both factors mean having a Sylvari lover means you can engage in any kind of bedroom activity without any fear of long-lasting consequences.

I think we should inform their Tribune immediately of their state and have them banned for a few years from Meatober, it obvious an over consumption of meat and alcohol that has caused this extreme level of aggression.

I get the feeling that the sylvari may have trouble liking their origin. If the dragon did create them, that may make for some interesting identity issues

I’m actually hoping that we ARE dragon spawns.
But even if we are, vintari’s tablet changed us.

Please do not tar as all with the same brush as that bigoted charr. While I can’t speak for Lion’s Arch, the Krytan Crown recognises that the actions of one lunatic do not and should not reflect on the entire race. Kryta welcomes continued good relations with our leafy southern neighbours, and looks forward to deepening cooperation on eliminating the bad apples from both of our orchards in the future, particularly when it comes to expected operations in the Brisban region.

My first character I created in Guild Wars 2 was a Sylvari Ranger, Vandei, I would rather play any of my three Sylvari to any of my three Charr, perhaps because they are fresh, I think that the game developers are attempting to make people distrust the Sylvari because it is so easy to hate a hunchback Charr for how they ruined Ascalon. In my mind Charr should not be a playable race given the fact that they are granted impossible to achieve technologies. Really! I could see an Asura creating a helicopter, even a human, and given their connectedness to the world even a Sylvari, but a Charr?, a beast with the dexterity of a club fisted Ettin, tell me how many tries it takes a Charr to load bearings in the main rotor, doh! …they couldn’t! A Sylvari on the other hand being fresh can become either as Vandei or Trahearn and someone like Scarlet or Aerin …
