Hide in Shadows does not remove Torment.
“Vanish in stealth and gain regeneration. Cures burning , poison , and bleeding .”

Makes perfect sense to me. Torment is not “burning, poison, or bleeding.”
It will if you spec in Shadow’s Embrace and otherwise it’s working as intended.
While I don’t think Thief heal skills need to be even more loaded with functions, I do agree with the OP that the spirit of the heal isn’t being reflected. It’s incredibly obvious that it’s supposed to remove all DoTs.

What about confusion?
Confusion does no damage if you don’t use a skill; it’s not a DoT.

Thanks. Thats what i mean. When i said fix i maybe should have said updated. Withdraw removes all mobility conditon and this one should remove all DoTs. Its creally not how it should be. Since lyssa got nerfed it tried to play with this heal. But if i get torment stacks, which happens quite easy i cant do kitten against it. If it would at least remove torment i would maybe take it over withdraw, but like this, no thx.
Shouldn’t Pain Response be updated as well then?

That would be nice.
I think it’s fine as it is. Removing three DoT conditions is generally good enough to keep you alive. And like someone else stated, if you’re traited for shadow’s embrace you’ll probably end up removing the torment too. If they give us a heal that removed 4 strong DoT conditions then you’re going to see a ton of “Thief healing 2 stronk nerf plz” posts on this forum, and it would actually be with good reason for once.

First of all. In sPvP no good thief goes into shadow arts. I hardly doubt that ppl would complain about it. Acutally HiS gives u much less HP/s in comparison to withdraw. You should view this out of the point from a dp thief with 10 30 0 0 30. My only condi remove is my heal, if i use HiS and shadow step. So if i get hit from torment and it does too much damage i have to use my shadow step to remove it, even if my heal would be ready.
It is intended to NOT remove Torment:

Maybe it is a oversight or intentional.
Doubt it will change in the near future though.
Wow. Just wow. Do these ppl even play this game. w/e

Confusion isn’t a DoT, it requires the play to use an attack to function.

I think they do.

Sorry didn’t see in any of your prior posts in this thread where you mentioned you were specifically talking about sPvP that’s my bad (JK it’s yours). I think the real issue that would arise with HiS removing torment is that it would be remove 4 specific conditions, and any thief traited for shadow’s embrace (sPvP or otherwise) would remove more conditions on top those. This would make stealth thief builds a bit too good at removing conditions.
One of the consequences of running a build without the shadow’s embrace trait, regardless of game mode (WvW, sPvP, PvE) is that you won’t have as easy a time removing conditions. I find it to be balanced. You’re trading the defensive ability to remove conditions (survivability) for stronger offensive capability. It’s just how thieves are balanced right now, and I think that aspect of our class is perfectly fine.
