D/D gear
I’m using a combination of PVT/Clerics/Carrion and I like it a lot.
I currently have Power/Vitality/Condition damage. I Use Precision/Toughness/power on rings/neck etc. I’m using runes of earth. My damage is pretty low and I don’t think that condition damage does enough for an elementalist (unless you fixate everything into earth). I’m working on gswitching all Condition stats out with Precision and some +Crit damage. I’m positive that it will boost my damage immensely, without taking my survivability away.
What about healing power? Worth it, not worth it?
Thanks for the info so far.
I feel that the healing capabilities in this game are somewhat limited, so I just leave the stat alone. If you want healing, you should go in a full water spec instead, using scepter/dagger. Your own survivability is not a problem as an attunement shifting D/D elementalist.
So P/V/T with some knight’s and berserker’s mixed in should work?
PVT and clerics condition damage is meh on DD.

Eles are one of the few professions where healing power is actually quite good, particularly if you’re running some sort of deep water/arcane build as most people are. Stronger regen, stronger heal from switch to water attunement, stronger “soothing mists” passive heal from being in water, strong heal from rolling in water if you have evasive arcana, stronger heals per skill use with signet of restoration (or just using a healing skill period, of course).
Wearing some cleric’s gear (power/toughness/healing) is a D/D mainstay. Don’t just fill every armor, weapon, and trinket slot with cleric’s gear only of course, but you should be wearing some.
The most tanky flavor of D/D ele will combine power/vit/toughness gear with cleric’s gear (and probably boon duration runes)
