Is it possible to have an elementalist not take any shortbow damage for say 2 minutes of constant fire?

Said it was doing damage but the damage bar did not move….

Yes if it showed “immune” everytime you were putting conditions on that ele, they could be using “Diamond Skin” trait OR if you’re talking about direct damage hits then it could be using “Stone Heart” trait which gives us immunity against critical hits. Much likely you are talking about wvw scenario?

Wait is that how stone heart works? I’ve never used it, but I always assumed that it prevented the enemy from rolling critical, not negated any hit which rolls critical.

EDIT: Okay I’ve been testing it out and that is most certainly NOT how it works. It just lowers the critical chance of any hit against you to zero. You still take damage from every single hit.

were they using a focus? cuz swirling winds would negate your projectiles. If not, then it was hacks, cuz theres no way to reduce damage to nothing.

Well, what class are you?

Are you pure bunker?
If you are, why are you expecting to kill anything as a bunker?

If not, are you zerk? If you’re zerk, are you spamming #1 in hopes that the ele will die? Auto attacking, hoping to kill?

Obviously, you are also unkillable as well since you said " Finally just gave up and found another target "

The ele prolly had Diamond Skin. According to the wiki the ranger shortbow auto attack does 134 damage, with Soothing Mists, runes and food you can get your per second health regeneration pretty close to 134 per second.

if your dps is so low that the passive healing from regen/soothing mist and the signet then I can see it being possible. If its a shortbow ranger and the ele has the earth grandmaster trait against condis I can see it happening too. Then if he or she has a focus he or she can reflect and or block projectiles more often too giving them time to heal up even more if the need arises. Combined with some dodging a bunker ele should be able to survive even if its a 3v1

diamond skin.

Also the DnD ele is the one class a ranger should run away from. Unless you are a god skilled ranger. Most panic when their health bar drops to half in under a few seconds
