What’s revolutionary about this build?
I tried glyph builds before, albeit not that all-in. Basically GoEP is very nice, but the rest is not that much. The AI is useless, it will get destroyed within a few seconds in team fights. The buffs are good for regen uptime but essentially useless for the rest. The cast times are long and easy to interrupt. But most importantly you will get wrecked by lack of condition removal.
Is it normal that the build editor shows runes of the traveler?

I put Runes of Traveler on because I knew that a lot of Eles like to squeal about the RTL nerf so this gives them a lot more mobility.

And I have no issues with condition removal, less skilled players might though so maybe they can tweak it to be more of a beginner build.

Not saying it doesn’t work, but a bit more info than just throwing out a build and saying how great you are and they saying if the build isn’t working for you maybe you’re not very good would be appreciated..

So you run runes of the traveler while your healing skill alone is enough to maintain permanent swiftness? I am baffled.
That in addition to RTL and elemental attunement is a mobility overkill.

Everybody have issues with condition removal. Your build has 2 condition removals every 11.25 seconds at best, which is not much.

So, it’s a WvW build is it not?
Try it in PvP then let me know who’s a beginner again!

Out of the current candi-spamm meta, this build could be good, but definitly not here.

If you can keep your opponent in your storm with your abundant amount of cripple from GoEP while two elementals are beating on your opponent then I could see this build working out for a duel or 1v1. I can’t see this providing amazing team play potential, but perhaps I am wrong

Perhaps your poor minds have calcified from aeons of Elementalist subforum posting and waiting dew-eyed for the latest Elementalist buffs that’ll make all your instant win dreams come true. Fret not, there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. Simply open your minds; the OP’s spec could very well be the answer you’re searching for, and it’s right here in front of your ascended noses.

If the strengths of Attunejam’s Glyphmentalist spec aren’t making themselves clear, perhaps you ought to broaden your horizons? I’ve heard quasi-legal hallucinogenics are a useful tonic for that sort of thing. Or, you know, take a walk in this fresh summer air. Dwell on the nature of Elemental Attunement, boon duration, zone control, all that lark.

That’s quite an image! Are you saying that the sun rises out of a DPS Guardian’s kitten ? How have I not noticed this before! Is it because the guardian is an Asura and they’re too small to see among the particle effects?

Ive come so close myself to solving the 1 million dollars problem of finding a different but op ele build. Who knew that glyph of storm was the missing piece.

So many jealous Elementalists who wish they could single-handedly redefine the meta like Attunejam has accomplished to do. You can’t go anywhere without seeing a glyphomancer now.

The post itself, for those who still might be confused, seems to be a riff on people who post bad builds, and on the whole #Eletism group thingy that was posted a while back, as well as on people who just generally have self-aggrandized self-images of their own reputations of their abilties in WvW. All of these are common themes posted about, on this forum.

I just thought it’d help to post this, however, just in case people were a bit confused and didn’t see the veiled trolling going on.

I like to use arrogance myself, but only to bring forth heavy derision afterwards. I guess my judgement is not subtle enough to spot trolls easily! Or maybe it is because I actively lobby for a more informed ele community, and any bad build, troll or not, is not helping.

• Pretty sure Ive posted a bad build before.
• I applaud the elementalist guild
• Half of my aggrandizing was done by others in PvP.

This is not an op ele build and it means nothing that u are a “pro” ele. PvP is dead and everyone can be top 100 if you play with a team.
Normal D/D is stronger and easier to play.

Btw. I play pvp since beta and didnt know u…maybe just because im eu but who cares.

10/10 build. The fact that you can pop all your glyphs including heal and instantly get 8 stacks of might is just too much to handle.

You get 4 stacks of might on heal alone. Don’t waste your utilities as you enter the fight - just switch straight to fire, cast GoEH, then switch back out to your favourite attunement for instant dps godliness.
Only complete noobs would burn their most effective survival skills (utility Glyphs) on doubling their already impressive damage output.

This build is incredibly insightful. I was able to bunker 3v1 on a point vs an Engi, Warrior, AND Mesmer by myself by using my Earth elementals to block all the projectiles for me! I’m extremely fond of Guild Wars 2’s impressive AI system. The entire fight they intelligently stood around me to block the shots! I even saw the superior elemental absorb an entire Killshot from the warrior, it was a thing of beauty.

I hope you use this build 4ever.

I think this build would work much better with a single dagger. You wont have to think about all those extra skills and can focus on your glyphs better then.

Swin, you really under-estimate pets! You don’t even need a weapon! you cast your storm and you let rocky the pet kill them all!

I’ve got to rank 2 soloq before playing decap engy and that says nothing about my skill only that a cat or dog could play decap engy effectively.

This build is great, have to say it’s pretty awesome. Especially with switching elements and getting stacks of might/regens/protection/swiftness. Proves more useful than you guys who are nay sayers think.

Not a good elementalist but the survival is phenomenal.

You wouldn’t mind 1 v 1ing this lowly and inexperienced ele with that build then? I most likely will get rekt but what does it say about you if you get rekt? Do I attain God status in that very moment?

I had a similar build, except going 6 water instead of arcane, GoEH, GoEP, GoE, Lightning Flash, and Armor of Earth.

It was before the big pvp patch, so I used Valkyrie’s and celestial runes. It worked rather well.

Your troll build could have been made far worse, but then the trolling would be more obvious.

Do people truly not realize this guy is a troll? O.o
