RTL vs Rush, why were we nerfed again?
With Rush you still take damage while RTL was invincible.
Where did you get this idea?
Rush is much slower and more predictable.
It’s a high-risk/high-reward skill, unlike RTL.Also, you can’t really judge the skills individually. They’re part of a different kit, therefore have different roles and uses.
What do you mean high risk/high reward? I run without autotargeting, If I have a GS/SwWh troll build I can come annoy you, then Wh4-savage leap-rush-whirlwind away. Since all those skill are on a low cooldown not even a thief could catch up to me, especially if I add in a bulls charge. There is no risk in using rush unless you are using it to catch up to a target in which case it will probably miss and your target will get out of melee range before the animation stops.

Dont be silly guys,rush is nowhere so good as RTL.Anyone who played and used those skills daily knows it.I could recall some things which could need some developer love but RTL range or CD wouldnt be any top wanted.
Also ELE is completely other game style as warrior.

So you think that a class with HEAVY armor should be able to out pace a a magical light armor class…
Rush can be used as both Offence and defence at NO penalty. That just shouldn’t be allowed if its not allowed for a LIGHT armor class why should a HEAVY armor class be allowed to use it for the SAME thing and yet not get punished…
It sounds to me like you rely on Rush and dont want it to be balanced.
I play both warr and ele regularly. I’d say they’re functionally pretty kitten similar. Similar enough to compare CDs anyway. Trying to act like it’s “nowhere near” as good is a gross exaggeration.
Rush is of course affected by chill but warr has such good condi clearing now that rush being affected by chill is not really a problem. Both RTL and rush suck as gap closing attacks that deal damage so no real discrepancy there. In fact i’d say in general the gap closers in this game are all pretty badly done – the only good ones are teleports and savage leap.
IMO RTL deserves its lower CD back and both skills should be improved with respect to reliability of gap closing.
The reason is ANet tends to allocate their most competent people to working on the next expansion/chapter, because that’s where the money is for them. This leaves us with the least competent people for the live system, all the way down to internship level at times. Their balancing team is a prime example for that; these guys should have a controlling instance above them at least, something to prevent them from completely messing up the game. This controlling instance doesn’t exist tho (some community manager in the german forums even pretty much literally told us balance guys are free to do whatever they want, regardless of community feedback and whatnot), so no wonder these guys are running rampage on the game. Figure in most of them are playing Warrior or Thief pretty much exclusively and lots of the weird & absurd stuff about the current state of ‘balance’ in GW2 explains itself.
And there is only one thing we say to Death: ‘Not today’.

We’re like the abused step child of the profession it seems. Honestly if they actually balanced the class, we’d probably pillage kitten after struggling tooth and nail to even equal the potential of other option all these months.
I am totaly happy with RTL atm,dont need any buff to it,and never heard any complain from my fellow eles with which i play.
As for rush,am not sure if u mean abil 5 on GS for warr or that util with stun on its end “dont remmember names of all abils on all chars on all weapons”.As for abil,its slow,bugged and final animation is the kinda “go make coffe,chat with friends,than come back to wait another sec till it finishes”.It hits fairly,but misses most of the time.If traited to break roots,it can be nice for escape that all.
RTL is really precise,never seen any bug with it,and it goes nice with 5th air abil and 3rd fire on d/d.Its fast,smooth,looks cool.32 sec CD on traited RTL or range is completely fine to me.And i dont want to have it like rush,no WAY,pls.
As for game style,like really?Ele and warr are similar?Never noticed any similarities in game style or anything.What kind of ele is similar to what kind of war?
As for priorities,i would love our port being rid of buggs and maybe added stun break to it.dagger earth 5 reworked,and done somthing with condies on eles,which in theory craft seem like crap.Also runing with so few HP and so low armor,we could either hit for more,or heal bit more.13k Backstab means 85% of my hp,and runing from spawn just cause of 0.5sec concentration loss is too unfunn.

u still can get feared etc while using rtl, necros tend to use signet of spite whenever u gonna use rtl to close gap , if u got immobalize its like… well its like u wasted one of ur greatest spell and r insanely vulnerable to dmg
yes warrior may have same prob but u ever considered this?:
u got high hp pool, insane regen, high toughness, same dmg as rtl
eles in other hand: they can get high regen but nowhere near as high as war,insanely low toughness, insanely low hp pool.
and did i alrdy say this? its our only reliable gap closer on weapon skill(i say weapon skil cause some of u may be like :u got blink, stop making stuff up. , well did u know that the blink (i meant lightning flash sry , played mesmer for a long time) bugs like 30% of the time?, sometimes u r stuck on spot after using till u use another moving spell, sometimes u r just stuck for 2 seconds wich is critical, sometimes it teleports u to target area for 0.5 seconds but tends to teleport u back right after, uneven terrain :dont need to explain.)

I haven’t seen it mentioned (on this thread) that a pebble, piece of grass and/or speck of ground lint will cause RtL to fail spectacularly as well and give us our blessedly awesome cooldown of 40 seconds.
But it doesn’t matter. Let’s add a blast finisher to a skill no one cares about a blast finisher on, yeah!
