Some facts you may not have known about ele.
All good tips that all elementalist should be aware of, with that said you forgot some important tip. I was going to add a tip like playing an elementalist in spvp turns you into a free kill, but I feel like it would be rude.
This is an mmo forum, if someone isn’t whining chances are the game is dead.
Gj ,but here’s a fix :
Phoenix removes ALL condition when it’s return to you ,not 1.
If it’s just remove 1 , so they (Anet “balance guys”) changed it ( Im not playing for a long time before the patch so im not sure )

Opp ,the last time im using Phoenix ,its removes all 3 conditions on me that time , and its just about 1 month since i stop logging in .

since it seems to be aimed for beginners some smaller/obvious ones come to mind
- Arcane reduce all recharge rates, not only for the cd you set by switching out of the attunement but also notably for the “small” cd on the non selected attunements.
- under water: selfbuffed fire aura fire2 -> ice5, ice5 works similiar to warrior’s whirlwind against a wall. elite greatsword fiery rush timed with teleport lets you stack it like against a wall
- sometimes overlooked, arcane blast range is indeed 1500, very nice to finish off those pesky thieves who think they already escaped with 1% in wvw
- pheonix especially for wvw is, castable downwards but has problems when casting upwards (wiki: “The phoenix cannot travel up obstacles, but can travel down them.”)
-specific effects of some skills/traits e.g. evasive arcane and glyph of elementals are determined at the end of cast/dodge and not by the attunement you start in
-at certain obstacles you can port/flash up (midpoint forest of niflhel from the steps, while at max range, up the wall to the higher location) or through the obstacle (like mid borderland keep, inner woodfloor ring)

Pick/Drop conjures counts as weapon swap.

I would also mention confusion
Mist form can be used to guarantee a stomp if you cast the stomp animation right before you click on mistform.
also nice for ressing downed players

Actually, it’s 16 secs base attunement switch, with 30 arcana, it’s 10 secs. Therefore 14/12/10 with 10/20/30 points in arcana tree.

No, the calculation on wiki is wrong. Just measured it myself to make sure I calculated it correctly.
It doesn’t lower the CD but increases the recharge-rate.
10P -> 16/1,2
20P -> 16/1,4
30P -> 16/1,6
arcana gets worse the more points you spend in it

It’s recharge rate increase, not recharge cooldown decrease. You’re not the first one who interpreted this wrong.
Basically, it increases the amount of how many times you can switch to the same attunement in a period of time, let’s say per minute.

With 1 point you have 1,02 CD reduction each second (2% increased rate): 16/1,02=15,7
and so on

Yes stomping in mf still works, atleast in wvw. I haven’t been in pvp lately because obvious reasons.
But the only reason to use mf now is if you’re roaming alone and by a keep so you can get in safely or close enough to be able to use downstate mf. Lol, I still like it just for the fact that I find it hilarious to troll mf stomp ppl in the middle of a Zerg. But if they get stealth you then turn into a pile of mush as soon as mf ends.

Good stuff guys. Altough it’s pretty obvious sometimes what skills do I’m sure these guides are some kind of help to new players and even core players. I probably won’t write down all the stuff you guys wrote in my first post since I don’t have a lot of time and I’m also quite lazy tbh. However, I’ll do mention that people need to check down below because there are some great suggestions as well. Thanks for the feedback, we ele’s need to stick together afterall :p
Idk if more people already learnt this after me trying so many times to prove it…. Ele can really burst without being glass cannon in wvw pvp.

*and “earthquake” with a bit of practice (specially handy for foes running away)

Endurance regen caps out at 100%. Vigor, by itself, hits the cap which makes the traits Vigorous Scepter and Zephyr’s Focus pointless in combination with Renewing Stamina.
