If you could put burning in place of confusion on perplexity runes, that might make for a fun ele build. Or bleed duration. An ele puts up 2 damaging dots, as already mentioned here, and 2 short non-damaging ones. I think the premise of this thread is that we need more, and they need to last longer. Our burns last 2-3s, while our blinds last 6-10s. Dagger’s burning speed is a 1s burn. :/ Earth’s 1, 2, and 5 skills in dagger off-hand have decent bleed durations, but all of them are easy to avoid. Just as it’s easy to avoid water 1’s vulnerability in dagger main-hand. However, if you look at staff skills, a lot of those condition durations have higher base lengths.

As an aside, I wish that Staff’s Gust ability worked like guardian’s staff 1, and sent out a wave of air to do the knockback, because it misses 90% of the time when the person isn’t running directly toward you.

Hmmm… Maybe diamond skin should apply torment every time you use a slow on an enemy?(chill/cripple)
Also getting hit by lightning and not getting damaged would definitely confuse me xD.
Gale needs SOMETHING. It’s just terrible right now.

How about turning EARTH into the condition tree?
I mean it does a few at the moment. A tweak to the tree could see it become a solid one.

Diamond Skin: Increase Condition damage by 10% of Toughness, Crits have a 50% chance to cause 5 seconds of Torment. This would have NO cool down, it being 1 stack or have it cause 5 seconds of Torment at 5stacks with a 10second ICD

Mmmmm Maybe a trait that gives a 50% chance on knockdown to cause a damaging effect? Maybe a condition(s) or something?

The only change other than earth traitline that I suggested was the burning precision buff(which it needs because it’s terrible).
If you want a 1 attunement build then you can forget about it. The devs want us to swap.

That in my opinion IS the problem, they want to dictate HOW we should be playing the class
