Guild Wars 2

Here is a little guide of s/d combos and a bit of gameplay as well, I tried to make it a bit educational for starters, I know there are loads of good guides on google already but this would be a quick collated textual one with key combos to use for good DPS, I hope it would be useful for those who might need help with S/D or S/F builds. It also shows how to get instants 25 might stacks using one time chain combos despite might nerf on sigil recently you can get to 25 easily. Let me know if you find it any interesting and useful.

Note: Goes without saying that if you wish to read a particular slide of combo, you can pause the video, I couldn’t make the slides go slower but video clips so sorry for that lol
P.S. I’m a novice editor so can’t make those fancy videos, thought to utilize my time in making something worthy while waiting for long queues in the mists

I realize that, unfortunately I couldn’t make them to stay longer, I tired to stretch the slides durations but ended up cropping the text for me. I hope people will understand I’m really novice at video editing

Also any reason you speed up all the pvp footage ? It was pretty useless since you cant really see or understand much when its speed up, obnoxious music was another minus. Other than that solid combo tips, thanks for that.

If you plan to make another video in the future my 2 suggestions:

Stay away from obnoxious music, you cant make all people happy but you can make the majority happy at least, choose something easy on the ears that sounds good in the background

Dont speed up pvp footage, no reason to do that.

This is pretty useful for all the new eles wanting to try out a scepter build. I’m seeing an increasing amount of fresh air eles in WvW and PvP and some of them could use a video like this, good job :P

Thanks!! and that’s so true, I also noticed a lot of new scepter eles in pvp lately. Tbh post expansion news, many new players have joined gw2 lately, even in our guild we have lots of new players willing to learn stuff and that’s where we veterans can shine. Old guides get outdated as our professions go through so many nerfs/ buffs so there is a constant need of updating those guides/ tutorials, I have been helping our guildies with all pvp builds and stuff so this video is only a small contribution to our gw2 community for whoever finds it useful

Correction in might stacking slide:
You attune to Earth after 5th step “Phoenix” to dodge roll in ROF while in earth attunement for 3 might stacks.

Closed the video at 4 minutes, the PvP in the video is a bad example of your build.
First of all, a lot of these fights, like 80% of them, is you coming and finishing off enemies that were already fighting your team-mates and were low aka the illusion of good damage.
And the other part is you unloading every possible skillshot into scrubs that don’t even dodge and are unaware of whats happening around them.

i ran the same build for a while and let me tell you its problems:
1. Low hp
2. Mediocre damage

If you think the damage is high, then that is only because you are PvP’ing against unexperienced players, that are eating your dragon’s tooth, which is a major part of your rotation burst, otherwise if you will PvP against people who aren’t lazy to dodge around, its very difficult to land it, thus negating a good chunk of your damage, since you are running /F in your other hand and don’t have access to other offensive abilities and no escape if you run into someone who knows what he is doing.

You run 14k hp, a decently skilled player will burst you down with almost any class, before you can do any considerable damage without your dragon tooth.

This build has high damage if used correctly. Saying an S/X ele has little damage outside of dragons tooth is just stupid.
If you were a good player you wouldn’t need to rely on a high health pool to keep you alive. S/f has many active defences: invuln, 2 blinds, increased armor, 2 missile defence and 2 condi removal skills. The focus also helps set up your burst with 2ccs.
In sPvP you shouldn’t be running away, and if you are its fairly easy to kite around terrain regardless of class/build.

Pretty much everything you said makes it look like you have no idea what your talking about.

I certainly think you do not believe yourself what you said.
i’ve had my fair share of success with zerker S/D but it has its limitations, and S/F has even more of them.
Also doesn’t take away from my previous post about that video, its a bad example of your build effeciency in sPvP.
