Disappointed with the change to box of nails

Eh, I don’t really mind it. I hardly used Box of Nails that much since I’d mostly go for the Gear Shield and Pry bar, but I did appreciate the stacks of bleed and the cripple it would apply. I usually don’t need an escape since I’m running HGH and have a block as well as two invulns. If I somehow die, well, I can’t blame anyone but myself.
eh idk I just feel like I lost a bit of utility for it, I generally used it in AC path 1 to drop behind me crippling the gravelings while using heal turret to remove allies conditions. Still not a huge deal.

I don’t use it at all because the cast time like all cast times of anything useful on this cast is entirely too long forcing this class to be a total #1 spam fest at this point.
I wish they made it stronger against people that continue standing on it.
Just a stronger bleed, then Toolkit would have 2 good condition attacks in it, against for PvE.
Eh, not a big deal. I would like to see the animation on box of nails pretty much halved, it’s enormous for not many bleeds at all, considering thieves can do it every time they dodge.

What’s more, after testing the poison field on Thieves’ short bow, it poisons mobs, but doesn’t put you in combat.
Bit of a double standard there. And I agree with the animation time, and longevity of the nails, they don’t seem to be a serious skill for combat at all.

Yes—it wasn’t mentioned by name but there was a line stating that abilities that didn’t deal direct damage would still place the user “in combat.”
I guess if you were using it to run past mobs in the open world, the change might affect you a little bit. Honestly though, there are millions of ways to get past mobs in the open world.
Whoh, honestly, this may be one of the biggest let downs from the patch. I used that ALL the time, if this puts you in combat, that dodge and poison shot from the thief better as well.

If that’s the case, that’s kind of interesting. I wonder if the same could be done with poison grenade, assuming the grenade doesn’t hit the mob and they just wander into the poison field. Pretty sure it doesn’t work that way with something like the fire bomb, but I haven’t ever bothered to test it.
I don’t think the change to box of nails was unfair though, even though engg couldn’t really take advantage of the old quirk like other professions could.
