And… a post confirming that kits will eventually scale with weapon-damage.

I haven’t had enough time to test out the changes. for one thing before they nerfed it 30% they brought pve and pvp damage on kits up to the same levels so it should work a little better now. They changed two of the chances for cond’s to occur more often now (poison and bleeding) so I shall work to see if these changes are well placed and work like they should compared to the damage of my thief.
Also, I have yet to test the explosion size. or the flame thrower.
No one has been more critical of the mistreatment of this class then me, if they are pulling a fast one I will be the one complaining the most in these forums trust me, give us time to see what these adjustments have done. Not to mention they stated it is a work in progress. (can’t expect all of the bugs to be fixed at once) tho I do agree with you the miss problem with FT should have been priority number 1, unless it’s something gamewide in all classes.

That is just what this one poster claims. He is trying to act like he has some kinda of inside knowledge and is claiming this. The patch not clearly state it was reduced because of sigils. So not sure why he keeps spouting this in every thread.

Well, at least some Engi’s were having fun before.
If it’s no fun for other Engi’s to be overshadowed by Grenadiers.. then buff the other kits. Grenades weren’t overpowered, so they shouldn’t have been nerfed. Period.

Eff it. I’m going to finish leveling up my Thief. I may give an Elementalist a try too as I enjoy AoEs in WvW.

For generic PvE content Warrior actually rolls ( even ) more face than Guardian. It’s pretty much just soloing Champs that Guards have an advantage and that’s not remotely worth doing other than for giggles.
My #1 – “Grenade” attack before the patch had a tooltip saying 462 damage fully buffed glass cannon build, now it’s down to 301.
Do the Devs not understand that grenades actually have to hit the target to do damage? I always assumed that the trade off for high damage with grenades was that all 5 attacks were time delayed AOE’s.
Now I roll a new class. sigh.

I don’t even like playing anymore, the downgrade is so bad, that i can’t even spare to look at my character. Its so pitiful, our verstaile gadgets and tools are not viable enough. We have many turrets skills that are wasted cos there is no good turret build. Flamethrower still has a that bug where it can miss a lot and now the heal is downgraded too. We don’t anything that is superior to other classes. I felt grenades was the one of the main things that engineers sticks out with. Instead of nerfing us now, why can’t you nerf us later when you find a solution to apply the weapon stat at the same time? Cos NOW we have even more less options.

I feel exactly the same, but we have no options actually, ‘coz you can’t really say pistols are useful damage-wise.
We are now sub-par in pvp and sub-anything in pve
Just roll a better designed class that is less reliant on gimicky things that ANet will polish in a few years.
I can’t believe non grenadiers actually think this was a good idea. Instead of fixing all the bugs to make the other builds viable they destroy the only possible one we had.
