Seriously… what a HUGE let down, I mean, fine sigils now work as they SHOULD have had since day1… now kits retain stats? BZZZT NO! we STILL lose the weapon attack power! fine! mostly affected by pve anyway!…. EVERYTHING ELSE… where did it go? that long list of unfixed and embarassing bugs that have been around since BWE?

Where’s my flamethrower? Ppl like to get our hopes high… sigils on FT my kitten GW1-reward minipet I say!

Do they actually expect us to play FT like THIS? and don’t get me started on its sub-par damage, and don’t even try to argue like -oh we got sigils now- (?!?) we’d be doing exactly the same damage other classes have always been able to do with much less effort, dedicated trait build, skills AND sigils/runes!

No fix for most skills not working correctly either lagging (jump-shot any1?)

Grenades just got nerfed, considering the weapon attack power still doesn’t seem to retain effectively, on top of it we still miss the auto-atk from skill1! however this didn’t change things much…

MAN just wtf is wrong with every1? Do I have to buy a gamer-mouse in order to play as effectively as others do, only to make up for the game’s fault???

The thing is… they were working on sigils around 20 days ago (as confirmed by Jon) and then what? nothing else fixed? not to mention how clueless the engi community is, a couple posts in smtg like 3 months!??

Nothing about turrets, no buffs, no bug fixes, NOTHING, a couple traits are now “viable” not actually worth it imo but ok… too bad way over half our trait trees are… bad, no worse, even broken, useless junk that no1 would sacrifice points into.

You may take it as a complaint, but I’ve been around since day1 and I’m fed up to see my class completely left behind, always the same skills and traits to use, half skills/traits broken, no useful ELITE, people tell me go play other classes but I love engineer and can’t like anything but that.

I can’t endure this any longer, so I’ll quit ’till next DECENT patch, just try tell me a reason I should go on playing my engi after… this… please…

If you feel the same just tell me what yer gonna do? sigh

Flamethrower + Ice sigil for 1) Irony.

Bomb kit + Fire sigil for 2) Better Explosions.

And… a post confirming that kits will eventually scale with weapon-damage.

Step two is to get the weapon stats to apply to kits as well. We felt sigils was the more important first step because it creates build diversity. Flamethrower with sigil of air? Yes please.

What he doesn’t say is that nerfing Grenades is necessary for game-health between the engineer kits. Nades being higher DPS in all ranges is no fun for other engies.

I haven’t had enough time to test out the changes. for one thing before they nerfed it 30% they brought pve and pvp damage on kits up to the same levels so it should work a little better now. They changed two of the chances for cond’s to occur more often now (poison and bleeding) so I shall work to see if these changes are well placed and work like they should compared to the damage of my thief.

Also, I have yet to test the explosion size. or the flame thrower.

No one has been more critical of the mistreatment of this class then me, if they are pulling a fast one I will be the one complaining the most in these forums trust me, give us time to see what these adjustments have done. Not to mention they stated it is a work in progress. (can’t expect all of the bugs to be fixed at once) tho I do agree with you the miss problem with FT should have been priority number 1, unless it’s something gamewide in all classes.

Well, at least some Engi’s were having fun before.

If it’s no fun for other Engi’s to be overshadowed by Grenadiers.. then buff the other kits. Grenades weren’t overpowered, so they shouldn’t have been nerfed. Period.

Lol no. Go guardian for straight up PvE facerolling. Go thief for facerolling with a twist (stealth to bypass content, permanent blind, etc).

Bonus: Both also faceroll pvp

For generic PvE content Warrior actually rolls ( even ) more face than Guardian. It’s pretty much just soloing Champs that Guards have an advantage and that’s not remotely worth doing other than for giggles.

My #1 – “Grenade” attack before the patch had a tooltip saying 462 damage fully buffed glass cannon build, now it’s down to 301.

Do the Devs not understand that grenades actually have to hit the target to do damage? I always assumed that the trade off for high damage with grenades was that all 5 attacks were time delayed AOE’s.

Now I roll a new class. sigh.

I don’t even like playing anymore, the downgrade is so bad, that i can’t even spare to look at my character. Its so pitiful, our verstaile gadgets and tools are not viable enough. We have many turrets skills that are wasted cos there is no good turret build. Flamethrower still has a that bug where it can miss a lot and now the heal is downgraded too. We don’t anything that is superior to other classes. I felt grenades was the one of the main things that engineers sticks out with. Instead of nerfing us now, why can’t you nerf us later when you find a solution to apply the weapon stat at the same time? Cos NOW we have even more less options.
