Guns: Magical Rounds or Actual Ammunition?

If you look closely you’ll see that all the guns in the game are front loaded, so there aren’t and shouldn’t be any casings. Also front loaded weapons take a long time to reload and you need to do it after each shot; from a gameplay perspective this would nerf all the guns into the ground, so they just fire magically fast for the sake of balance. This is a fantasy mmo – don’t expect to see the weapons behaving realistically.
My gun is an evil pumpkin, I’m gonna go with magic.
I would assume it would be known that this is a game. Also the implied loading type varies judging on the skin or model of the gun. But all this is irrelevant to the OP.

If you get a set of headphones and listen closely, you can hear the empty cartridge land on the ground after you shoot. In fact, the sound is different depending whether you’re standing on rock, wood or dirt.
I have heard the sound effects aswell, I love that they took the time to put the different sounds judging on the terrain.
So what do you guys think?
1) A togglable hide or unhide option for bullet casings/ Arrow Quivers.
2) Just allow specific gun models/skins to produce bullet casings apon firing. Or Bows to supply quivers respectively.
Reloading animations would be tricky unless there was just a single animation for all guns. Which would probibly looks bizarre on several gun models. For this reason I am less of an advocate of this particular addition. But would love to see it if possible.

I don’t really feel the need to see shell casings flying everywhere. If anything I think that would hurt verisimilitude (what part of the gun are those coming out of? how does that work?). The sound effect for them is a very nice touch, though. My personal solution to this problem is to get a MH pistol that looks believably automatic, such as the Asura ones, or there are a few others, and get an OH pistol that looks more blunderbuss-y, like the Norn ones, since that makes more sense to me for blowtorch and glue shot. I do agree that reloading animations would probably be awkward at best. Especially when using two pistols.
There are bullets in engis pistols.
How many times tries did you need to make that screenshot?
