on a serious note how bad can you be grenades have 1500 range and the further they are the longer it takes to hit maybe takes 3 seconds to impact at full range so if you get hit from that far its kinda your fault for standing still.

Engi is only profession that play 0 role in WvW. It’s fun proff for sure, but thinking pro what is needed in every wvw situation engi provides nothing. (imba damage with immortality = thief, ports = mesmer , pets attackin sieges = Ranger , AOE wipe anythin on the way = eles, mass condi = necro (i think they need more love) , Wipeoutshot,knocks pushesh, banners alot team support = warrior, tank mode with pushes and heals = guardian)

Wrong. Engineer plays all roles in WvW depending upon build. Engineer is only not as efficient in a single role in WvW, but what would you expect from a class that can do everything?

I agree with Chaba. Engineers (especially as a group) can play multiple different roles, some of the most prominent are the support role (heals) and the cc- role (different skills apply to this, but mostly turrets). Also, engineers don’t have that great damage, but that doesn’t mean they are useless in WvW, since engineers can basically go close range/ pull (magnet), or go somewhat long range with grenades and defend from afar while the warriors and guardians tank it out. Yes, all of the above points have a better class that can do them, but engineer can do all of the above at a relatively equal level, not excelling at one or the other.

Every class has a “single cheesy static rotation”, it’s called a spike, and every class uses it except us lol
besides, if you give it a try you would notice that the build is much more than a rotation, during a fight you will have to come up with other ways to fight while on CD, also this spike only locks 1 utility skill, given the possibility of another 2 kits and too many play styles
Either nerf grenade damage or jump shot damage, or remove some CC from them, the amount of blowouts and knockdowns and huge damage combined with cloak on immobilization and a lot of ‘oh kitten’ skills they have is just too much. Not talking about 1v1 where you can predict and dodge it all but on a 2v2 3v3 or w/e while on a point where you cant see anything (because grenades have over 9000 range) of whats going on you just get wrecked by this they dont even need to target you every thing is ground targeted.
in 2v2 / 3v3 ALWAYS focus glasscannon engineers first
no stealth+worst downed state in the game+"relatively" high HP (through which you burn easily anyway though because glasscannon) which results in being hard to rezz and often enough not even having a stunbreaker+reasonably bad condition removal
overall an easy target
worst case 3 sec invulnerability or 3 seconds block through which you have to wait and even when those are active conditions still continue to tick and you can still continue applying conditions with aoe fields
When cloak applies you can just continue hitting the air and you will still damage him its VERY easy
