New trait - Applied Force
Tekkit’s Workshop
Flamethrower Juggernaut, Mass Momentum, and Applied Force

Flamethrower Juggernaut?
This. What’s the cooldown? Can’t get ingame right now.
[Edit] My bad. To stupid to read. 30% Quickness uptime sounds nice.
It’s a really awesome trait but is it better than adaptive armour? Although it can 100% be a very good trait in a lot of builds ie. HGH and FT builds.

For PvE its definetly huge dps boost, for PvP will be AA probably still better

I can’t see this trait working that efficiently because it needs really good coordination between each might application so that it doesn’t trigger when it isn’t supposed to, maybe lower stacks could make it work better, at least in pvp.
Finally, something worth losing my stuffing over!
Still thinking if its better for condi engi in raids. Swap tools for scrapper? What do you think guys
So.. I start play scrapper. "
Seems like a nice trait, at least for PvE. Still, it requires taking that line over something else. I wonder if it could be worth the opportunity cost for a condi.

definitely worth. quickness is huge.
you should already have swiftness from a rev and thats the only real reason to be in tools. plus f gyro is good and medic gyro is pretty neat to have on occasion (but of course theres no longer room for final salvo, which was my main draw for medic).

It is. Think of quickness as a direct increase to the number of conditions you can apply over X time. So using AA gun as an example it’s 1 bleed every second, that gets shortened to about 1 every half a second, making the damage compress into the same time block effectively increasing it by double in this case. For grenades the same thing is true with 6 grenades in the same time as 3 you’ll get more bleeds from the trait; to get the might take the Alchemy line and go to town; since quickness is effected by boon duration you’ll get a nice boost from the 20% included in the line plus the might from the potions, plus the might from drinking a potion, plus might from whatever source you see fit. And it leaves you with one open trait line.
I’d take firearms of course so I could swap into flamethrower (even if unused, but it often is in condition anyway for obvious reasons) just so I could stack some might passively; you fall under the limit, stay in it for a few seconds using the myriad of burning opportunities or laying a flame field or something, get above, go right back to it.
Synergizes well in my opinion. But that’s just what I would do.

In raid this can be usefull too (even with chrono). In pvp I stay in power creep scrapper. Meaby instead of inventions I take tools and swap slick shoes for tool kit (haste from streaming kits, more blocks-blockenieer :P eh hammer 4 and gear sheild… 100%endurance regen nice, 10% dmg ) this sound cool for me if I log soloq and be selfish
So.. I start play scrapper. "
I have a question, what threshold is it?

10 might

Mmh seems pretty solid for a pve solo build
Function is nice but PLEASE work on another icon for it. The old Stabilization Core trait icon has nothing to do with its function….
This trait is a problem … can’t decide what current traitline I should lose in my FT build.

pve?
if you werent already taking scrapper in a pve ft build… well… why not? mass momentum is cool, hammer trait is cool, and you certainly dont need explosives or alchemy and 1 of tools/inventions.

Yes PVE – why I wasn’t running Scrapper already? Inventions makes this build easy mode in HoT.
I ran this for a bit (Imagine Applied Force traited)
It feels quite satisfying running around with permanent 25 Might stacks and Stability, with frequent proc’ing of Swiftness, Quickness, Fury and Vigor
I had to drop Inventions, so I lose some serious sustain. Ultimately, it’s a quick swap between full offense and tanky. I know people crap on camping FT. Don’t care.
As a PvE / raid oriented player – I like it.

i ran this when i wanted to do that, and the trait changes will make it better for sure.
best for running around HoT maps, where sneak really shines with all the open world loot caches, but also excellent mobility for world completion marathons.

+1 not bad. But i still stand with my p/p 4 kit at HoT maps

as condi, yeah of course. i swap in rocket boots and or sneak into that build when im not at an event.

Camping FT is the only natural choice, IMO. It IS a flamethrower, for the Eternal Alchemy.
that it makes every other class in the game boring to play.”

Wahooo!
I agree it highly supports FT builds in solos. I’ll probably use FT as my main weapon in the new hot maps, maybe use rifle again as ranged option? Idk yet, I don’t really want to lose the hammer 3# + medic gyro combo. Mortar would be a decent ranged option too. Maybe some SD action? Who knows :P
But I think condi engi now simply can’t keep up with power engi in solo / hot maps. I know i know – everything works in open world etc etc blabla. Still I want to be as strong as possible and condi is not the way to go then.
greez!

I think condi is stronger in magumma jungle soloing.
What makes you believe that?

I was thinking about maxing out boon duration for power builds (for solo) and get 6s from that trait. Its fairly easy go get to that point. 30% from food and stone, 20% from alchemy, 30% leadership runes, Commander’s or Wanderer’s gear pieces make a rest. With that many boon duration we should get almost 20 might just by holding FT

Only experience. I’ve just had more success with loading up burns with bombs and flamethrower, and kiting everything than with trying to get into melee with hammer. I mean both worked, but I found I could kill more and faster with condi, while both kept me alive, again condi kept me with a bit more breathing room for positioning.
my todays result.
im playing open world or fractal most of the time.
condi.
nothing has changed. just got endurance uptime. tried condi scrapper too. no swiftness, no stunbreak and no vigor. oh… this is joke for 30% quickness.
power.
decide 1line is scrapper but still thinking wat is good other 2line.
my thoughts on trait
-FT line is focus crit.
tried [Juggernaut] but how play keep FT?
1 is joke, 2-5 have CD, 3-5 is utility and [Juggernaut] have interval. only use for within 20sec battle.
-bomb line is pure dmg. not bad.
-tool line is look like good, but puzzler for me. alc line too.
build make is so difficult
wanna play with stunbreak and movement speed then max dps.
As others pointed out. This kind of build: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?vdAQFASlcThyrY1VwWLQ7FL3FFdqH73O4CGhBgYB9D5AA-e (Switch Stabilization core for the applied force trait) got even stronger.
I use this with full berserker ascended and strength runes. Spamming the elixers will grant you permanent 25 might, keep killing and you have permanent swiftness. And I got to 9 seconds of uptime. No food used. You have stunbreaks, like 5 condition removers. And if you evade an attack you can get stability with hammer and continue to wreck. With Envigorating speed gives vigor when you get swiftness which you get from heavy armor exploit which is a nice synergy.
I like it.
Don’t mean to poo in the punch, but while all these flamethrower builds may be great in pve, for PvP it will still have the issue of melting as soon as anyone pops retaliation. Love the new trait, and I’m using it with my grenades build. Just ft PvP still has the same issues it always has.
Cubones Mother – 80 mes
Jade Quarry [Uhhh]
Yup, retal is a weakness for FT but you can think of weaknesses for all kinds of other things as well but at least this weakness has a counter … just swap out of your FT until the retal is gone. The cool thing is that most of your traits still work without using FT.
I’m having fun messing around with this trait. I don’t think it will replace AA for any meta PvP builds, but +1ing with FT/Ham is extremely effective when you have so much Quickness behind it.
My current PvP build is:
Firearms 231
Alchemy 221
Scrapper 233
Marauder amulet
Leadership rune
Air & Blood sigils
HT, FT, B, U, Sneak Gyro
It’s not the kind of build that can defend itself and IMO it shouldn’t try to be; if you want defense you are better off with the meta build— Paladin w/ Hoelbrak & AA is such a huge defensive boost just on its own.
Just don’t fight a Necromancer or Mallyx Revenant 1v1.
I love this trait on my sd build ^^ .
