a vendor sells them. you leap forward a short istance and create a 2 way portal, its around 700 range leap, any thing in your path stops u so need to use on flat clear areas.

In this case, it’d actually have a point, which would be: Drop the field in front of an enemy zerg, especially in high places. Suddenly, frustration, especially if there’s a portal that keeps taking them to the other side of it.
I’d say the portal gun could work like a staff necro’s marks, but that’s another ground targeting weapon and there’s already enough QQ about grenades & carpal tunnel.
But portals could be opened on the ground that transport “things” from other places into the field of battle. For instance, a portal that transports a blob of lava from a far-off volcano (fire field). A portal that tansports chunks of rocks from the planet upward (a la dagger earth ele ring thing) but with a knockback.

I was originally thinking of a Gadget called Portable Asura Gate. And could be thrown similar to the Throw Mine.
Portable Asura Gate: Toss a beacon that will teleport you to its location after a short delay, Stunning nearby targets for 2 seconds when you warp. Removes Cripple, Chill, and Immobilize.
-1/2 second cast time.
-Cool down: 35
-Skill activation Delay: 4 seconds.
-Stun Breaker
-Stun for 2 seconds.
-Attack Range: 120
Tool Belt Ability: Displacement Field: Surge your Portable Asuran Gate creating field around you that will cause the next attack to miss and Teleport the attacker to a random location, Dazing them for 1/2 second.
-1/2 second cast time.
-Field Duration: 2 seconds
-Teleportation Range: 900
-Daze 1/2 second
-Cool down: 40 seconds.
But I’d love to see this Concept spread into a Kit. There could be so many innovative moves. Perhaps:

Experimental Teleportation Device:
Interacting with the device grants a random effect:
1) Teleport to intended location.
2) Teleport to a random zone.
3) Closes client.
I’d expect it to be a gadget too. The precedent is for portals to have a recharge of a minute or more, which is too long for a weapon skill, even on the fifth slot. If it does get done as a kit, I’d imaging the actual portal to be the toolbelt skill. As a gadget, I’d imagine the toolbelt skill to be some sort of emergency teleport skill.

I’d be pretty okay with it as a gadget.
If it does get done as a kit, I’d imaging the actual portal to be the toolbelt skill. As a gadget, I’d imagine the toolbelt skill to be some sort of emergency teleport skill.
I would sign up for that.

Portal Gun Kit would be very fun, and so would a Sniper/Railgun Kit.. But I have to say, (opinion) Chainsaw Kit is what I have been waiting for since launch.

“hmm blue portal on moon, fire orange portal at the enemy keep. if we cant have it neither can you!” sit back and watch as all the defenders and half the keep get vacuumed through into space.
