funny thing is that we made already several posts on all sections (bugs, pve, spvp) for bugged traits, and got no response from Anet. Hidden killer was fixed in 24h lol
btw all turret traits are broken from inventions trait line atm, just fyi

It’s why i actually made a video, now no one can refute the point that the trait is not giving the 15% damage, it shows it clear as day in the video, with and without traits, i took out the extra factors of gear and stats etc by going completely naked.
I can only hope a dev sees this or something!

What about the PvE dummies in LA? Haven’t some traits not worked in pvp & worked in pve, and “vice versa”?

Seriously have all my threads been unoticed, people keep repeating those or speak about turret viability right now in PVE without even taking the Invention broken trait list into consideration. I have already posted this issue the day the patch came out, even edited the wiki and I explained in multiple threads that three of our main turret traits were not working on our utilities, including :
- Metal Plating (III)
- Autotool Installation (X)
- Rifled Turret Barrel (XII)
And by the way JoxerNL, you are partialy wrong it does work, but only for our Turrets coming out of our supply crate. Want a proof? Check my supply crate Rifle Turret with Elite Supply trait and Rifled Turret Barrels deal more damage than my regular Rifle Turret utility.

Just did a small test, same problem on the targets in LA.
So i think it’s safe to say the trait is universally broken.
I’ll see about making a video tomorow where i’ll test the trait in LA, so people have a visual confirmation that this trait is broken there aswell.

Ambre your initial post actually was the one that made me go and actually test it for myself.
Since yours lacked visual proof, i decided to use my setup to create this video where i provide visual proof to show that indeed the trait is horribly broken.
It’s easier to watch a video for a dev then just having to go off of a picture or simply text. (in other words, there is no kittenfooting around here, the video is blunt and clear as day showing what is wrong.)

Honestly, i dont mind if people linked this thread and or my video in other areas where its applicable, PvE forum, sPvP forum, WvWvW forum etc, seems to all be affected by this, gutting our spec choices tremendously, rightnow turrets are no use, unless you specifically want to trait it for your supply drop.

Actualy I could get some attention on the Support section and I also could put a little addition of mine inbetween 2 of Jon Peters replies on the Elixir S bug thread.
So they are probably working on it for the next correction patch or big monthly update.

Doesn’t help rifled turret barrels was broken for so long before this. Starting to think the devs just don’t care about engineers anymore, and any change is just out of pity to quell the masses temporarily.

Wasn’t the point of all the work done on turrets to make them more effective? Seems a shame to have all of that hard work ruined by poor QA coverage. I hope they fix this soon; it’s a pain in the butt to use them now without the little regen they get to keep them alive (can’t push mobs away and root them to let turret heal) I suppose I could use toolkit auto-attack to repair them( ah hahahaha that’s funny)
The worst part is that this has been bugged since the patch’s release yet no word from anyone, whereas other classes immediatly got fixed, it’s abit of a kicker to see how we are getting ignored because we lack a “loudmouth majority”.
Did it work before the turret update? Maybe they forgot to update how it interacts with the new turrets like Deployable Turrets.

I can confirm you that every perks in the Invention line were working correctly. There was only a small bug in the Tool line making deployable turret put Flame Turret and Rocket Turret on the same value. Rocket Turret got magicaly hotfixed the day the same day the patch came out, while on the other hand, we had to wait a month for the Flame Turret to get its cooldown fixed.
There was also a debate about Rifled Turret Barrels not working as intended before the Turret update, but most of the claims were wrong and people didn’t realy tested those turrets the way they should have.
And now apparently there is no CD reduction when you pick Healing Turret up (Edit : Confirmed). Indeed, you have to wait 1sec before you pick your turret up or you don’t get the cooldown reduction for your turret.

@Ambrecombe There is a hidden delay with the CD with the healing turret now. You have to wait a good second before picking it up to get the reduced cooldown. Playing like you used to quickly pressing f right after 6 will get you the full 20sec’s.

I hadn’t noticed this before because I was usualy blowing my turret up for an extra water combo instead of picking it up instantly. And also because I usualy deploy my turrets away from me making it impossible to pick those up in less than 1sec. But yeah, it could also use a fix.

Actualy the healing turret wasn’t hit before the second AoE, when I actualy move up to my net turret, to show my hitbox was smaller compared to my net turret hitbox, the NPC actualed used a second AoE that broke most of my turrets and I also blew my healing turret for a second heal burst. The second ennemy was also not supposed to interfere, so I threaten him and killed him, because I don’t like it when people get in my way! XD

I also noticed the size of turrets seem different or was that an optical illusion?

alot of our traits are broken, i cant help but wonder how -many- exactly are broken at the moment.
Great, another hotfix and turrets traits are still broken… Are we going to have to wait a whole month, maybe more, to get our traits finaly fixed?
I’m convinced ANet doesn’t even recognize Engineer as a class and instead just are letting it fail like it should have from never being fully complete.

Looking at their interactions and how fast they are fixing other class mechanics that broke because of their patch… i can only but agree, said it elsewhere before : Feels like the devs simply dont care about the Engineer.
I am thinking to change Granadier to Turrets, but with this bug, not.
I really want to use a turret built for pvp, because HGH got boring…
But With all turret traits in the invention line broken and a giant hitbox…. nope… gonna wait the estimated 3 months until arenanet fixes this…
