Thoughts on Transmute Minor Trait
You can’t rely on that 8% chance to save you from conditions. It’s more of just a nice little bonus.

It’s going to have rare, but amazing moments where you convert a Necromancer’s first fear into stability, and he chains 2 more fears into you while you have stability (because derr).
The majority of the time, you can’t tell it’s working. But it is working. Very strong minor trait overall.

Yeah, in all honesty you can’t really tell, especially if you’re already running lots of boons.
Hell of a lot more interesting than those boring “5% of stat x added to stat y” minors that everyone else gets at least
I was going to make a post asking if people actually ever see a random boon from a this… i spvp alot and i honestly can not even tell if i ever and i mean ever get a random boon. I played 400 games on my engi and i dont think ive ever seen it work -.-
I notice it more often when I attack enemy engies and a big immune message pops up when I try to apply a condi

It is definitely a strong minor trait. It’s hard to notice it working but it definitely does. It’s easiest to see when an attack that applies a certain stack of conditions (let’s say you get hit with an enemy engi’s prybar) applies one less than normal. Each stack has an 8% chance to transmute, so that translates to roughly 1/3 of the times I get hit with prybar I will only receive 4 stacks of confusion.
As far as WvW goes, condi spam and duration is so huge that I don’t think any trait choice will ever be enough. I strongly recommend runes of melandru + lemongrass food. I know it eats away a lot of crit damage, but there’s just no reasonable way to deal with +100% condi duration necros otherwise.
