It will be amazing if anyone who runs whit this trait could give an opinion on how good is it to handle condition damage.

I run SD build on my engineer in WvW because I kinda got tired of condition builds & it seems to be a little difficult to handle condition damage with this build, so I’m doing a little research on engineer traits to have a better passive way to handle Condition Dmg & Dur.

I know that every build has a weakness and right now everything related to condition stands as the meta (op) but I’m just looking into different gameplays & playing with handicap makes it more exciting :P so please share your opinion with me!

You can’t rely on that 8% chance to save you from conditions. It’s more of just a nice little bonus.

It’s going to have rare, but amazing moments where you convert a Necromancer’s first fear into stability, and he chains 2 more fears into you while you have stability (because derr).

The majority of the time, you can’t tell it’s working. But it is working. Very strong minor trait overall.

Yeah, in all honesty you can’t really tell, especially if you’re already running lots of boons.

Hell of a lot more interesting than those boring “5% of stat x added to stat y” minors that everyone else gets at least

It is definitely a strong minor trait. It’s hard to notice it working but it definitely does. It’s easiest to see when an attack that applies a certain stack of conditions (let’s say you get hit with an enemy engi’s prybar) applies one less than normal. Each stack has an 8% chance to transmute, so that translates to roughly 1/3 of the times I get hit with prybar I will only receive 4 stacks of confusion.

As far as WvW goes, condi spam and duration is so huge that I don’t think any trait choice will ever be enough. I strongly recommend runes of melandru + lemongrass food. I know it eats away a lot of crit damage, but there’s just no reasonable way to deal with +100% condi duration necros otherwise.
