I want to use trait Enhance Performance (Gain When You Might use the heal skill) but also want to use the Superior Rune of the Aristocracy 6 (When you use heal skill, might gain 3 stacks of 10 per sec). So my question is Trait with Runa accumulate effect?

Below my attempt to build for zerg blob WvW

I ran a build with thale trait and rune before and yes they do work together. So on heal you will get 6 stacks of might for yourself and your allies will get 3 stacks.

I run a hybrid backline grenadier with my guild and I love it. It works great! I actually posted a build on Metabattle about it. Take a look at it and see if you like it: http://metabattle.com/wiki/Build:Engineer_-_Carrion_Zerg_Grenadier

I personally suggest adding rabid to proc more on-crit traits like sharpshooter and perhaps crit sigils but the trade off is up to you. The cool thing about engis is that we are flexible

I might consider making a few trait changes and trying a diff food if you want to get the most out of might stacking.Perhaps dropping Sharpshooter for Backpack Regen since you’re crit is already really low, and taking Blood Injection instead of Fast-Acting Elixirs since you’re only running a single Elixir. Also there’s Might on heal food you might wanna look into.

Engi is the most versatile and fun class in the game. There isn’t a meta for engi in WVW though. Engi can play power, hybrid, and full condi grenades, plus bomb frontline and flamethrower frontline. That’s just for zerg – there are plenty of roaming setups too! I carry with me sets of Rabid, Carrion, Dire, Soldier AND Knight armor so I can switch out on the fly. Working on full celestial too. An engi’s gotta have his tools

Note: that’s rabid with nightmare runes, knight with pack runes, carrion with aristocracy, soldier with melandru, and dire with antitoxin. I’m planning on putting Holbraek on my celestial armor when it’s done. Good stuff.

what would be more useful P / S or Rifle … know that shuild have a blast but the rifle has skill to escape (5) which would then be more useful since I will only use grenade

With Rocket Boots and Elixer S ( utility AND toolbelt!) you have plenty of escapes. Shield also gives you a block, a daze, a reflect, and a knockback, plus the blast you mentioned. The rifle works but I prefer the shield.

Altruism runes also work with Enhance Performance.

You’re never really going to use Rifle #5 as an escape. The animation just takes too long, and puts you into combat if you weren’t already.

I suppose you could in theory leap over terrain gaps or something…. Heck, Rifle #4 + rifle 2, preferably while stability is up, will likely work better for you against single targets.

For the toast!

— Stacking HP with base toughness = no go! Your biggest heals do not scale high enough to catch your health, and you will find yourself with a buffer that simply cannot get replenished fast enough. It’s better to have higher toughness and a bit less health so that each point recovered is worth more (though you do need health for dealing with condis)

— The random point in firearms is a bad idea. You have 10% crit, which means you’ll get a stack of bleed… every 30 hits on average. You could put the point in tools for 10% extra damage on full endurance or you could take another alchemy trait.

I think celestial would be the best idea but since you are posting exotics that would not be worth making it due to time gates.

Anyhow, we were also talking about it in the other thread: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/professions/engineer/WvW-Enginious-Hypebrid-Grenadeity-Build/4498133

As for P/S or rifle that really depends on what you intend to do. Rifle is better for direct damage and p/s is better for condi damage and also gives better defense with the blind and the shield reflects.

For once you have tasted flight you will walk the earth with your eyes turned skywards,
for there you have been and there you will long to return.

I agree with the idea that heals lose effectiveness the more hp you have. Although, if you see things from another point of view, having 6k more hps means that you start the battle with “one extra heal”. So, having extra hit points helps a lot, both against conditions and against direct dmg. In the other side, toughness helps only against direct damage, which is good too. In the end I believe some balance between both may be a great idea.

now I’m just in doubt use full Celestial or Dire + Rabid trinket … (Celestial Gear and weapons has exotic?) and knowing that P / S is condition and has most def I hate them haha … I love rifle but I will try use. I’ll use meta build.

I am more like an spvp guy. There I use celestial which I find great with engineer. I think engineer has a great balance between power and condition, since you deal good direct damage and also has a lot of conditions. Another thing, we benefit from healing power with backpack regenerator, and of course better heals and regenerations. Vitality and toughness is always welcome.

This is my style of course, since I try to balance better attack and defense, and not to be a glass canon, or a bunker. I know that wvw may be different, but at least in my case (spvp) celestial is performing better than carrion. I tried rabid too, and didn’t like it. The toughness is good, but you deal little direct damage, which is a waste. With power your normal attacks and your critical will be stronger.

I play solo arena a lot, and maybe that’s why a balanced build tend to be better, since you never know what group you’ll find. And I guess people tend to like more being “glass canons” and dealing a lot of damage, than investing on defense.

I think it’ll work well
Celestial = SPVP
Carrion = Blob WvW
Assassin = PVE
