something abuseable for people who use med kit...
Its not powerful.
Its very weak, did around 100 damage, when something like bombs was doing 600 for me.
And it didn’t benefit from explosives traits, because it didn’t stack vuln for me.
On my level 37 it does 16 damage. And I can only do it once every 2-3 seconds.
The explosion is weak. Try refinement with the elixir gun. Gives you a super elixir every time. That’s a lot more useful.
Huh. Thats a better suggestion than the original post. I can actually thing of several ways to use that.
Flamethrowers flame wave, tool belt kits needle field, and the healing field of elixir gun all have moderate cool downs before it works again :/
Regardless of cooldowns the other kits kit refinements are much better. The medkit requires you to be in melee range to do subpar damage and also requires you to continue mashing the 6 button which means you won’t be using your 1-5. You are better off sticking with pistol getting the aoe damage from pistols auto.
In terms of how useful the medkits kit refinement is, it doesn’t come anywhere near the utility elixir gun or tool kit provides with kit refinement:
-Tool kit provides an aoe cripple that persists for quite a while that can be both offensive or defensive depending on the situation.
-Elixir gun provides an aoe condition removal as well as a light field and you can keep this light field up 24/7 chaining them back to back.
Both of these are use and forget allowing you to get back to your 1-5. So no… The medkits kit refinement is not that strong.
I don’t know about how much Med Kit can be used to the benefit of Kit Refinement, but it can be greatly used with the 6-piece bonus of the Superior Rune of the Adventurer ( “When you use a healing skill, gain 100% endurance (Cooldown: 10 seconds”) . Just pressing “6,” or rather, just activating the Med Kit, whether you are already on it or not will activate the 6-piece rune bonus. I don’t know if other rune sets have something similar, so it would only be for Condition Damage builds, but guaranteed 100% endurance every 10 secs can be very helpful.
Its worth noting however that the cooldown on the super elixir proc is NOT shared with the actual ability.
Its basically an extra free combo field and condition removal.
Now I just need to find a spot for it in my build without swapping it for something I already enjoy >.<.
The med kit, kit refinement ability doesn’t make much sense. I would love to see it changed to either a small AoE heal, an AoE regen, or perhaps an AoE removal of one condition. I find the other kit refinement effect appropriate, and as mentioned above, I use heck out of the elixir gun kit refinement to keep up a steady regen in dungeons and what not as support assistance.
yeah, i’ve been running kit refinement since i could first unlock it (it sounded neat) and now i’m almost 60 and love it. but i just don’t get why the medkit has a bomb. and a rubbish one at that. like the above guy said, it should be something heal based.

I was very excited about that trait when I read that Detonate, the Med Kit’s special ability, does Knockback.
Dunno if it’s a bug that it does not, but that alone would make the trait worthwhile for Med Kit.
Still it needs more dmg to be effective

If it was a knockback that would be awesome, and warrant a cooldown. I’d love it then.
