thermobaric detonation
It’s because it has a 10s cooldown, no?
The cooldown makes it useless.
Its already gated by Endurance, I don’t understand the need for the ICD.
Private retriever of runaway NPCs
Mistband[MIST] – PVP Training guild EU
ok but it is very hard to use, is’nt it ? is it only a problem of mine ?
It’s not just you! The trait is worthless!
Wahoo! Bye frands!
Idea of that trait is great but execution cant be worse. It dont work out of combat and thats makes it useless for prestacking and in combat it also still spawn that bomb so its basicly useless for combat stealth.
Tekkit’s Workshop
Yeah its pretty useless the way it wors now. I wonder why daredevil can have blast finishers on dodge (while having 3 endurence bars) and we have to have a cooldown on it.

It is usually not very productive to compare classes directly like this.
For one thing, having more blast finishers on demand is MUCH more powerful on an engineer since we have very easy access to almost all fields.
That aside, I agree that the trait is useless. I would prefer that it be removed from the game entirely. We have too many useless traits floating about. Traits that are useless due to design more than anything else.
thermobaric detonation should have reduced the 10 sec cd to 3-5 of that bomb we spawn on dodge,
The cooldown makes it useless.

Meanwhile, Revenants get stability on dodge without an ICD.
Morpid: No, both thermobaric and evasive powder keg have 10 second ICD. They are the same, just gated twice for no apparent reason.
No dodge trait should have a cooldown. If you want to burn your dodges to spam some effect from a trait instead of avoiding damage, you should have that choice.
Jade Quarry
I find this trait very poor. The 10s cooldown makes it useless, and it’s impossible to count on are strategically use except for the very first roll in a combat. Whats worse is that the kitten thing is more likely to put you into combat mode when you want to be running by things at non-combat speeds,k then it is to be useful to you in combat. Its actually a detriment.
I just find it bizarre that two of the most worthless traits in the entire game, if not the most worthless traits in the entire game, managed to get through development as engineer GMs.
It’s like engi specs were thrown together at the last minute, then nerfed into the ground without any kind of testing.
This and MDF are both completely useless and it’s mostly because they both have completely unnecessary ICD’s despite the fact that they are both dependent on systems which have their own ICDs. A double-gated bonanza of bafflingly bad balancing. Even if the cooldowns were taken out they’d be super-weak as gm’s and more so when compared to the other traits in their columns.

This summarizes my feelings as well. I am still playing engineer as my main, but every time when I play other professions I wish that some engineer GM traits would be as good as adept or minor traits from some other professions.
