ANET always said every class would be able to do everything. They never stated was that every class would excel at everything. The guardian excels at support and defense. There are other classes the excel at damage.

No rifle, no longbow. Shortbow, if only because Warrior doesn’t have it.

What about guardian made you thing “OMG I GONNA BE A DPS KING!!!1!1!!!” eh?

Are you he same people crying about how the offensive weapons master, warrior, can’t last like a guardian?

Every class can play an offensive or support role, they never said that every one can be DPS/HEAL/TANK <- see the trinity?

Finally, your impression of a class should not be finalized before reaching level 30+ . I honestly was regretting my guardian and considering warrior until I fount the spec that fit my style, the traits I needed weren’t possible until lvl 50. So just learn to play.

Warrior doesn’t have a pistol, either.
Pistol&shield for Guardians. Make it happen!

I feel that the main weakness of our class is our low hp pool, we can do massive damage with greatswords or hammers in pvp but nowhere near as high as a warrior with nowhere near the hp. I thought we were supposed to be some sort of magic knight hybrid? So why do we not have a happy in between when it comes to base vitality?

As I said before (probably in another thread). Of all the issues the Guardian has, the healthpool isn’t really the problem.
