This skill needs a change. In WvW this skill can be used, Hit multiple targets over the course of its 5 target cap per tick then places multiple traps around. These traps are 90% of the time invisible. As well you get locked in for the full duration. There is no counter play as you cannot dodge out. The only thing players can do is pop stability but this skill can hands down take away all of a guardians stacks of stability kitten traps can be placed down. Each wall takes away 1 stack of stability meaning if you walk through at the wrong place, it will strip 2 stacks of stab instead of 1.

Considering it being an super easily dodgable, interuptable and root the guardian, and on a 45second cool down, its ability to trip potentially more than one stack of stability is more than justified. Necros and mesmers have easier means with much shorter cool down to strip ALL of stability stack, don’t you think that being more outrageous? Beside, you said it yourself “f you walk through at the wrong place”, so the issue is not the trap, it’s the person that walk the wrong place. Don’t walk the wrong way, that’s true when encountering any of enemy skills, not just that of Guardians. What more, in a wvw zerg, people are too complacent that they can rush through anything being in a group that they don’t bother avoiding, dodging anything most of the time, so then it’s not the skill’s issue, again it’s the people’s issue. You can’t expect a straight graveled road laid out for you in anyway you take, can you.

Frankly given the long cast time, long Cd, & the sheer number of abilities that apply stability or teleport I would like to see it changed.

As to what it should be, I’d love to see it be a faster slightly wider cone version of the hammer 3 with a 20 or so second CD. (possibly one that also applies some bleeds)

The skill is fine, it fills a similar role as Ring of Warding. Only thing they need to fix is the invisibility it has sometimes.
