Defender’s Dogma – Blocking an attack causes virtue of Justice to reach its full charge.

Changed – While spear of Justice is recharging, blocking an attack reduces its recharge by 20%. When Spear of Justice is off cool-down blocking an attack grants you 3s of swiftness. 3s cool-down for both effects.

Piercing Light – trap hits bleed enemies.

Changed – trap hits bleed enemies. 20% reduced recharge on trap skills.

Zealot’s Aggression – deal 10% extra damage to crippled enemies.

Changed – deal 10% extra damage to crippled enemies. Hitting a crippled enemy with True Shot recharges all other longbow skills by 10%. 3s recharge on bow skill reduction.

Big Game Hunter – hits against enemies tethered with Spear of Justice deal 15% more damage and apply vulnerability.

This trait is kind of strange in my eyes. Like, you already apply 15 imaginary stacks of vulnerability when you spear them and then continue applying more. This trait doesn’t really need to be changed but here’s my best shot.

Changed – deal 15% more damage to enemies tethered by Spear of Justice. Striking a tethered enemy grants you 10 seconds of might – 1s cooldown.

Defender’s Dogma – no change needed. It’s a way to proc more burns, which we’ll need for burn uptime now that they don’t stack in duration. Admittedly it is a weird trait, but it’s fine for its effect and position.

Piercing Light – better yet, “Traps hits inflict bleeding. When you use a Virtue, reduce Trap recharge by 3 seconds.” Active skill recharge is all the rage, and this instantly gives synergy with Radiance and Virtues, and to a lesser extent Valor.

Zealot’s Aggression – Longbow doesn’t need a -20% recharge, as it’s already been designed with the the reduction in mind (4s instead of 4.75, 10s instead of 12, 15s instead of 20 (extra second taken off)). The only thing Longbow needs is #5 reduced to kitten (60 -20% with an extra 3 from rounding to a more “flat” number). A 60s reason skill is abhorrent. There are multiple elites shorter than that, even if it is strong.

Big Game Hunter – no change needed, like you kind of realized. Plus, the 15% is only for you, while the vuln is potential party support.

The only trait that really needs work is the one the Devs already mentioned, and we don’t really have an idea on what that might be.

Had a post suggesting changes a week back

https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/professions/guardian/Thoughts-on-guardian-DH-traits-skills/first#post5083144 even has suggested changes for base guardian skills that seem underwhelming like zealot’s defense, protectors strike etc…
