Guardian or warrior?
Are you on about pvp or pve? A guardian will bring more support as you know, but a zerker guard will not stand toe to toe with a zerker warrior in terms of dps, I main a guardian, and I would say guardians are more forgiving, due to the amount of blocks they have and heal, but then a warrior can achieve just as many heals, and also has a higher hp, it’s a tit for tat situation, I’d suggest you try both and see what you prefer, I often feel like warriors outshine guardians in nearly every way at the current moment, yet I still main a guardian, because there’s just something I like about the play style :P! None of this probably helped what so ever, I spent more time arguing withy self on this aha

Hehe no you helped me a biy..I really like the fact that guard can brings many blocks remove conditions and giveheals while doing dmg..im playing a party with friends most of the times and I hate when we need a guard in order to finish fast a TA run or what we miss from pt is a good supp more than dps..thats why I cant choose..I mean like with knights armor and zerk jwels weaps I can still do dps but be quite tanky as well right?
Last but not least I enjoy pve really much but I would like to play wvw as wells day by day…

We’ll for what it sounds like you want, I’d give a guard a good go, and to be dps but tanky I’d suggest a mix of solider and zerker, although remember in pve a lot of people seek pure dps, your still bring support through blocks and regen etc, my area is more pvp tbh with you tho, in wvw you can run the zerker and soilder gear setup pretty strongly, I can’t speak for warriors here tho, never played one, just know of them aha
@twisted, guardians have always been able to do more DPS then warriors, it is just that warriors are ‘easy’ to achieve a moderately high amount of DPS and you do not have to play as well. Also, warriors do not outshine guardians in ‘nearly every way’
Guardians provide their support through utilities and some traits (which you pick up in the meta builds, ie blind /vulnerability spam) This support is defensive support consisting of blinds/blocks/reflects/cleanses. which means that you should be in berserker gear for 100% of PvE content, as any other gear type is detrimental. Knights armour, however, is acceptable as training wheels if you really do not feel comfortable in zerker.
Warriors provide the offensive support, through banners, vulnerability and some might/fury (ele’s do most of the stacking imo)
Its really up to you which you want to play as, I have both and prefer my guardian pretty much everywhere, the 11k hp doesn’t even bother me.
Learn to play your warrior. If you have problems surviving it’s because you’re not taking advantage of its mobility. You’re supposed to rush in, burst, get away from your target and repeat.
Warrior is unquestionably OP atm. Just learn it.
If this is pve talk then warrior is easier to survive in using full zerker and is more forgiving than guardian due to twice the health, but both classes are very survivable and forgiving. Guardian should play full zerk to be effective with the meta game in PvE, using knights gear is a waste and basically the only play you ever use it is in fractals for tanking ettin/keeping aggro on svanir’s while kiting
