Help Needed! Good All-Around Guardian Build?
Both of these are what I use in WvW.

Lots of heal, protection, condi removal, retaliation.
It worked for my playstyle, others? Idk.
Traits used to mesh very well with this; going to take me a lot of ‘re-education on the new ones to say the least. Primary use of late was PvP bunker style / rescue missions. PvE, I haven’t had any issues with just about any build, just long fights because of a lack of dps. WvW I don’t play

For PVE or WvW? I tried out this build a bit last night and was somewhat impressed:
I switched around a bit from this since I primarily use GS but am otherwise very similar. NPCs melt with this build; I generally run a Knight Zerker mix with some PVT mixed in on my mediguard and have Traveler runes since I’m primarily roaming in WvW.
I did try this out in Orr too and it was doing huge damage in PVE; havent done any PVP yet but I was basically running a PVP mediguard build before the trait changes for roaming.

I primarily PvE, just not lately; trying to get all the TA skins for Faolain’s Blossom.

I have been running a support guard in a 5 man since close to launch, and I’m not having a lot of luck with the patch. The dps is so high that if I don’t have an invuln up before I engage a larger group, it’s pretty much a death sentence. The trait change puts clerics builds in a tough predicament with hit points so it looks like I’m going nomads until I figure out where the spike dps is coming from.
For now I’m trying to deal with condi first since it seems like to most buffed. Trooper ruins-pure of voice and the resolve trait. I’m playing with the shout heal but I’m
Not sure if it’s bang for the buck is worth it. I have a feeling resistance will be come the new must-have for support oriented players, but we will see. Before a good guardian could support a 5 man in wvw while taking on 10-20 people, but I feel like that may be over and other players will have to pick up some slack…. Maybe?
Spike DPS is coming from everywhere. Necros, Rangers, Eles and Engineers are all very large damage dealers. Being bunker support is not the way of the world anymore, this is the battle of the bursts now. Dodge rolling, utilities that mitigate damage and more zerker/cavalier less clerics/nomads is going to be the way to play now.
