That’s exactly what I use it for, keeping zergs alive in WvW. And it works great. We’re called “Guardians” for a reason. Cleric’s gear helps us guard those around us. What is this? The necromancer forum?

@MaskedParadigm – Of course I heal / buff / cleanse everyone around me. That’s my role in WvW and it works well in PvE too. Got nothing to do with the skill of the players around me, I’ll heal everyone. Not sure why you’re so steamed up about another player healing and buffing you. I never met a thief or warrior who was like “Hey! STOP healing me please! WTH!!!” As a boon / support / heal / shout guardian running clerics and runes of altruism I can give fury, might, stability, protection, regeneration, reflection and tons of heals to everyone around me whenever I want for as long as I want. But if you’re so selfish that you only care about your own health, then fine. Look at it another way. With Altruistic Healing the more boons I can spread means more healing for me. In a Zerg I’m almost un-killable. I switch to GS, slice away, and do a ton of damage. Everybody wins. I can’t do that with full zerk. Zerk trinkets I do have.

The problem is that healing specs are bad in PvE.

Inb4 someone jumps in just to say how PvE players are bad.

Well most of them are.

It’s just that the same applies to PvP and WvW, so it’s better just saying “players are bad”.

Heh heh, good point. That darn AOE cap. But with the amount of boons and heals I’m laying out, everyone gets a taste at some point.

If you want to PvP just play Blazblue.

I do! I used to go to local tournaments that my local gaming store held. They had like these awesome one dollar tournaments and the winner got the pot. I’d then turn around and buy some food from the kitchen they had because I was poor and only five people entered the “tournament” anyways…. and it was technically in-store credit, lol.

I’ve believed you day 1! Trying to argue math when discussing numbers without using math in response is stupid. Though when you do say things that are flat out wrong, like saying that Empower Allies stacked with multiple users, that did do some damage to your credibility.

On the subject of healing, with all the talk of various skills getting increases in heal scaling, will healing power finally not be a useless stat? Healing breeze to replace signet? There are probably a few instances where some extra healing might not suck, like the dredge troop container or something.
