[CDS] – Sanctum of Rall
Crenshinabon – so the stats you’re running doesn’t include consumables?
It depends what you want to do.
Do you want to faceroll content while carrying your teammates? Go something like 0/5/30/30/5 or 0/0/30/30/10, I agree it’s rather great support-ish build.
Want to deal some damage? Go at least 10/25/x/x/x. What you’re missing from those traits are +%dmg and those traits stack multiplicatively so with radiant power and fiery wrath it’s +21%. You can get build with ~6.5 effective power while maintaining similiar level of support.
Next thing, from pve strict pointview, oils/stones are inferior in every aspect to potions in most dungeons. Only place for oils/stones is wubwub.
All these stats are with no consumables at all.
I think I could see what you are saying going meditations instead of AH.
The only other build I can imagine if its not that AH build would be Meditations.
This is actually interesting as it boost crit chance by 10% while still giving heals in the form of meditations.
10/25/30/0/5
Power 1995
Precision 1857
Toughness 1753
Vitality 1116

I never thought about the Radiant Power and Fiery might stacking…… that might put out some insane damage.
I will have to try this out sometime.
I will miss my empower healing me to full every 20 seconds because of AH though. lol.

Here is copy from previous page of this build. Do not like how forum split pages. Was wanting to easily compare the builds.

Both of the above builds are a mix of Zerker,Knight,Soldier for max effectiveness.
Not sure if the 4 runes that give 30% boon duration is worth it in Meditation build. But I do love them buffs so that also makes me sad. Cure Condition meditation feels so inferior to Pure of Voice AH with 35% boon duration.
Comparing the two builds definitely shows the Radiance pumping out more Effective Power…….. I am getting jealous, but man. under 13k hp even with a good amount of soldier seems painful to deal with. With this mucy precision maybe I would swap the gems for Beryl for more vit, but that defeats the whole purpose of the build with high crit chance.
Man I am so stumped as to the superior build. Maybe I am just looking into it too much as to max effectiveness in both wvw and pve. These are 2 super solid builds it seems.

When you get experienced you don’t need that much effective health. At the moment I have 12805 hp.
Wubwub is another tale where I can’t help because I don’t play guardian there (or at all).
For pvp, it’s much easier to optimise builds because of simple stat distrubution through ammy+jewel.
lol the woes of having too much choice. ; )) i mean best bet is really to jump in WvW and see how it goes. 13k HP might be cutting it REALLY close. i personally feel more comfortable with at least 15k-16k-ish. i have a healin gbuild which i’m sitting at 14k, and maybe breaking 15k with world buffs but the high healing and passive regen makes up for it.
if you’re running meditations and switching to 10/25/30 build, i’d recommend changing the gear choices a bit so you have a little more HP to sit on. i don’t think you’ll be killing your crit rate TOO much depending how you go about it. meditations are extremely fun though. couple that with radiant power and fiery wrath, make sure you have some fast and multi hitting weapons to get those burning procs. i actually slotted hydromancy sigils into my weapon sets for that one build to further ensure i’m able to keep conditions on foes. it’s more of a fun build and it’s exactly what that is.
the 30% on boon duration for your meditation build might not be optimal.. but if you’re able to convert say 8 conditions on your using contemplation of purity, the boon duration s hould affect them as well no? seeing as it can be quite common to get that many on you at a time in wvw ; )) lol
bottom line though, iw ouldn’t get too bogged down on what’s “superior” in terms of stats. of course, they are important but you can always further implement by how you act in-game on the field. : ))
[added: re: crit chance.. if you run in a group, you can sometimes rely on getting fury from them. or use a sigil of perception before hand, get your stacks up and then switch to your regular weapon to make up for a loss of crit chance if you want to get your vit up for the medi build]
New patch came out fixing pure of voice.
I have now swapped to 5/0/30/30/5
So far I am really liking this setup.I am losing 100 power + 10% with burn + small vuln stacks.
Gaining 100 vitality (was kind of needed) + 10% with low end + Pure of Voice. So far I am seeing this as a superior build.
It even makes me not need 20 in virtues for the condition removal anymore because pure of voice is superior to all condition removal. Gaining even MORE boons for my AH + Boon duration runes is so kittening amazing so far.
Check this out, Crenshin.
Personally, I have been wondering if there would be a way of using 1h weapons and buliding around x/30/30/x/x with AH. My goals are to reach(manually inputed):
Power 2000
Critical Damage 100%
Critical Chance 50%
Health 17000+
Damage Reduction 40%
With RHS you get +15% crit so that leaves quite a bit of room to build around that while still keeping your defense up. I’m be working on this for a few days. Thinking 10/30/30/0/0(i want inspired virtues badly but can’t decide if it out weights +10% dmg from Fiery Wrath).
This is first draft:
slight adjustment in food, amulet, and some gems

I would personally recommend 10/30/30/0/0, the only flaw in this build is the lack of vigorous precision. Other than that, it’s very solid build. Though I think running monk’s focus instead of altruistic healing is much more funny, however you may not have same opinion.

I’ve tried both AH and MF and found AH to have more opportunities to heal me than MF.
I haven’t said it’s better, just more fun. AH means you would rather use shouts while MF means meditations.

lol I know what the difference is. Who is questioning what you said? I have more fun killing people than staring up at my target stomping me.
I don’t play wubwub, just pvp or pve, but imho mf is better in pvp, at least if you’re roaming.

I agree. MF is a solo trait. AH shines when you have 5 people with you.
when i do run a similar build akin to 10/30/30, i do switch between AH and MF and utilities depending no if there are peopel around me or not. : ))
nice stats btw Atremis! though, could i suggest using hydromancy on the focus? helps with landing sword #3. though most kills would also happen on sword i assume thus stacking up perception.
