I find the lack of Inspired Virtues and Vigorous Precision hindering this build. Otherwise, not really reinventing the wheel here.
I’m also not very big on the radiance trait lines in general, none of them are really gamechanging. Grandmaster for a +15% crit chance on one weapon set seems really kittenty when 10/5/30/5/20 offers you much more sustain against conditions and therefore more breathing room while doing just a tad less dmg.

10/30/30/0/0 is pretty much the max dps you can go while still maintaining some sustain. Only thing I would change would be rune for the most part. If you’re going for max dps like this better of just going Scholar. If you don’t feel comfortable with that then Ranger would be a good choice also. It’s bugged so you always get a 5% damage increase when using it.

I agree that the grandmaster radiance trait could be more appealing if, for example, it also reduced the recharge of sword skills. However taking so many points out of radiance means you lose the 10% sword damage and +10% damage vs targets with conditions, or 20% total damage. That’s a lot of deeps :O

To each and his own, I prefer not stack all my cards on just damage and damage alone as in higher level play, a build without much self sustain is extremely easy to punish if they simply avoid or negate your burst.
Unlike a Thief, it’s very easy to see a Guardian coming and what they are doing. A thief also can burst much more frequently than a Guardian does and so they do just fine going the rush rush kill them before they kill me route. The biggest burst combo you can pull off as a Guard will require to pop two of your utilities and a 45 CD on focus, not to mention if they break your shield, there goes a bulk of your damage.
You lack the resets stealth classes like Mesmers and Thieves enjoy, with this trait load out you also forfeit the Guardian’s greatest strength, boon stacking with virtues and stability (most important boon in pvp srsly). So really what you have here is a one-trick pony build that relies on a do or die strategy that I just don’t think is that practical in practice.

Is what I like, while retaining your weapon choices, you can replace SYG with Contemplation for more self sustain but at the cost of team fight utility.

yeah this is an ok set up but in pvp witht he nerco/condi meta i would rune purging flame over judges intervention and healing signet over shelter.
Purging Flames is much better as it is condi cleanse and good dps on points.
I not sure how long fury last when you use a medi but i also rather take Purity for more condi removal.
10/25/30/5 is what i run. But thats my playstyle maybe i like to dodge roll a lot in order to avoid dmg.
I also use divinity runes

It clears 3 conditions instantly on use.

@ Arlette. No. It removes 3 conditions when you use it. For it’s duration, you get a buff that reduces condi duration on you by 33%. The buff lasts 1 second and pulses for 1second while you stand in the field.
I was using this build in hotjoins, soloq, teamq and dueling arenas last night and I can say it is hella fun! The build is kinda squishy so duels we’re intense but I won most of them. In teamq it provided really nice spike damage in team fights, although without many escapes if the other team figures out where all the damage is coming from it can get sketchy. In soloq this build just destroys. No one really expects a guard to do this kind of damage so you can catch a lot of unsuspecting people. I went undefeated in soloqs
