I was looking back at one of the trailers about mesmers before the release of the game and half the skills they used in it either don’t exist or don’t work that way now. Which makes me sad. I know it’s just a preview but how I would love to have some of these abilities like a stealth field:

Sure, Id like a Chaos Storm thatone shots everything, and a skill that summons 2 duelists at once :P.

And whats the armor at 1:45 called? Dont thinkits in game, and it looks amazing :/

It’s not ingame. That’s been complained about quite a decent amount.

I want those two pistol phantasms with one cast, that kill 2 mobs first and then can be shattered on the third.

I wanna use portals for combat. I tried that once ingame and found myself running from the monsters.

@ Pyro: can you link the threads where people complained about not having it? I’d pay double for that set, and it looks like they’ve already implemented it in-game for that vid, so I don’t get why they can’t just sell it to us.

I wouldn’t be able to find them now, but a longish time ago, people would find that armor set and ask where to find it. I believe it was featured in some sort of concept art as well, but it’s not been actually released into the game.

Did that sylvari mesmer summon the phantasms BEFORE the enemies were in range?

I’ve always wanted to summon without a target…

It’s not ingame. That’s been complained about quite a decent amount.

Obviously not enough, because we don’t have it :P

I wonder how that goes. Did they forget to back it up or something, and were unable to use it after noticing they didnt put t in game by accident?

Or maybe it was one of the very first armors, and only made it specifically for that one sylvari (edit: wow, that armor was so awesome It almost had me mistake one of the lesser races for a sylvari)human, and they didnt bother making it for all races/body types.

Just like when they messed up our chaos storm and GS. They had to recreate it… Instead of just looking in a backup from a week ago and restore it :P

i am drunken but what i get from wanted to try to understand mesmer to community,
First scene
1st: Support
2nd: Shatter and secondary CC(crowd control)
3rd: CC and Confusion?
4th: DPS and Shatter (burst?)
5th: Mobility, DPS

That first stealth aoe circle looks like an earlier version of veil,

The armour at 1:45 kinda reminds me of kasmeers, maybe an early modal?

I also want portals that automatically adjust their distance from one another so I don’t have to take the effort of gauging the best distance for myself! (Note how the guy dodge rolls back just once and in the next scene the portals are much further apart) … Seems legit.

I also wondered why the guy bothered wasting his portal when he could’ve just used the one beam attack to kill it in the first place and who uses portal in PvE anyway aside from jumping puzzles and exploiting?! Such a noob… Wasting cooldowns.

Secondly the bit with the human mesmer using staff. Why don’t we get to kill someone by staring at them, or with one attack that burns, for chaos storm to completely disable and kill enemies in agonizing death and I want to do that weird teleport skill that kills.

I also want the overpowered mirror image clones that will kill enemies for me with a couple of hits…

I guess I can see why they didn’t put these things in the game.. but still would be fun

Yeah the reveal and armor was all featured in PCGAMER. Like someone else said im sure I saw it in other concept art too. Maybe it will make it into the game one day…something along the lines of “class cultural armor”.

Oneshot Chaos Storms acutally made it in the game. At least for ~1 day g
