The damage bonus for six superior runes applies for any summoned pet, such as Glyph of Elementals or Sigil of Demon Summoning, but not for illusions.
EDIT: However, I’ve been testing for the past 5 minutes in sPvP, and I’m pretty sure mesmer illusions are proccing the bonus. Weird how the wiki has different info…

This changed on April 15.
It works. But still not sure if it any good.
I did a post the other day link below on the different runes. What you should be looking is not the total damage, but the average damage put out and top end damage.

Yes it’s very good. It’s only 2nd to scholar runes, and not by much either – no more than 2% under ideal conditions.
