@DuckDuckBoom: Nice follow up analysis on my statements earlier. That really lays it out nicely.

One note about shattering phantasms. In situations with multiple targets, I’ll often put my phantasms on different targets, to spread my damage out a bit. In that sort of situation, shattering is really tough to do effectively since the phantasms aren’t tied to the same mob death.

That’s why I like shattering and staff because of the easier AoE. Otherwise I have to plan out encounters and manipulate enemy positioning for maximum effect prior to casting phantasms. Really though Berserker isn’t so bad just Warden, especially when the mobs/boss aggro onto another party member. A quicker cast time for Phantasms would be nice too.

Dont forget the skipping :P Best case would be swamp and then harpy. First you get Mossman axe, oneshot the champs at harpy frac then port up to endboss :P

I still need to find a video that shows how to port past the 2nd set of harpies after the golem. I also heard that it can bug out the last boss too if you skip?

if you skip and don’t trigger the raving asura talking sequence (i think) it bugs out.

You have to attack the last harpy at least once to trigger the “the groups has approached the harpies” status. Now leave the harpy and kill the boss.

You dont have to attack it. You simply have to walk over to the left until it says “Defeat the raving asura”.

I know who I am, do you know who you are?

I’m sorry, but I can’t resist replying to this post:

Wasted condi damage on shatters? I feel weird that i actually have to link stuff from the wiki? http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Sharper_Images Never notice this trait?

or this one?http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Illusionary_Retribution

or this one http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Master_of_Misdirection

1. Sharper Images requires you to NOT shatter. If you shatter (on cooldown, like you’re saying) it will pretty much do nothing for you.

2. For the two other traits; confusion is nice in PvP, but not so nice in PvE. In PvE, it can be a nice little bit of extra-damage, sure. But on average, it ticks maybe once on each mob, which isn’t that much of damage.

So yeah; confusion is the only condition-damage you do if you shatter on cooldown, and that’s really bad damage on most mobs because almost all of them attack super-slow.

I’d say the highest sustained damage you can get with a condition build in PvE (on bosses) is with two iDuelists and one staff clone; with the clone being next to the boss. The clone adds some burning together with your auto-attacks, and you can replace it with dodge-rolling and phase retreat to trigger on-clone-death traits.
