(Hooo boy, I was scared to necro this thread! But I really don’t like loose ends, and even when I’m late to get to something I still wanna atleast attempt to see it done. Anyone who posted their build here previously still gets first preference, just let me know if you’d still like it to be tested.)

Hey guys, a year ago I went through some pretty rough stuff IRL with the death of a loved one. While it was ungodly difficult, the overwhelming support I received made me really want to do something to give back to the community. You guys were there for me during one of the hardest times of my life, and that is a gift/privilege many people don’t get when going through so much stress. I felt obligated to do.. soemthing to pay people back, and the Mesmer Guide would’ve been enough if I uh … hadn’t sorta already intended to do it beforehand.

But this! This is my payback.

Since I finally have the ability to push out vids, after the Lockdown video I’m working on this weekend I’d be happy to take a look at other people’s builds, run some tests, note my progress before delivering a review. Keep in mind that the builds will be tested from a PvP perspective, so WvW-focused builds may not have the most accurate appraisal (but are still accepted). OMFG TESTERS I WILL BE REACHING OUT TO YOU GUYS FOR HELP ON THIS!

Please realize that I don’t play as often as I used to because of time constraints. Currently I’m doing this while I have the time, but my schedule tends to fluctuate and I can’t guarantee consistency, but if anyone is still interested I will do my best!

The build is meant to be a control build with Confusion condition, AoE perma-cripple and 2 solid single-target stuns. It can hold on its own in dueling, or 1vX situations, but really shines in group fight as offensive support role from my past experience.
The choice of condi removal utility, sigils, and runes is flexible. What I have there is just personal preference.

I am busy in PvE farming karma and fractal relics for my legendary, #cough# Obsididan Shards #cough#. Besides, my skills with mesmer are not really polished so I can’t realize the full potential of the build.

Anyway, hope u’ll have fun testing it in WvW and thanks for your time.

Chaos, was it you trying to put together a blinds build? If so I was going to suggest superior runes of the flock.

Hey Chaos, even if I am low priority, I will take my chances.
My Testbuild Alpha: Random Pain gives me some unsatisfying results in PvE as to mobs slow attackspeed. Maybe you want to try it in other aspects of the game, I have no time for (PvP) with some adaption to condition removal.

Feel free to play around a bit with the Close Combatant build, never had feedback on that one either…

You have said that you will put 10-15 hours into each build, and I know that is a lot of your time you are spending for us, and I am ever greatful for your kindness over the past year, but could you take a look see at my Apex Predator Build After the Patch? I want to see what the changes will be and update the build to its specific needs. Much will be appreciated. But don’t spend 10-15 hours on my build. There is no need to. Just spend like 2-3 hours on it is cool. Good luck on your future ambitions!

Hey requiem, do you mind if I give a little feedback? You would be much better off taking 10 out of inspiration and putting it in dueling for protected mantra’s. That way you have a strength to charging them up, your torch already takes care of condi’s and you can always swap the sig to null field or something.

Just a heads up, I’m going to make another attempt to deliver on this thread. I wanna extend a massive apology to those who posted earlier since I was unfortunately unable to get around to it, but if you google “Chaos Archangel GW2” this is the first thing that pops up. x_x I couldn’t just let it sit dormant as a broken promise.

So for now I’m wiping the slate clean since a lot of these builds are from before the April update, but anyone who posted earlier gets first preference.

This is a build i have been running with for a month or so now. It a bag of so many ideas.

The build is not about power nor condition, but a mix of all. CC, Power, retaliation, clone damage. Some tankiness to it and can hold point too.

Testing on NPC they go down fast.

I would you thought on this build.

As requested the build play style.

Rather than writing all the names of the skills, using the build I have link, I will only call the skill number to use.
In my build I use Veil, but you can change it to blink.

Notes:

F = Focus

6 = Ether Feast
7 = Decoy
8 = Signet of Domination
9 = Veil or Blink
0 = Mass Invisibility

How to play the build:

Start with Sp/P
4 ? 5 ? 7
swap to S/F
5 ? 8 ? 3 ? 2 ? 4
Swap to SP/P
9 ? 3 ? 2 ? 5

at this point the enemy is either died or close to it.
