Guild Wars 2

In WvW, I and another Mesmer had a Thief downed, and while the Mes went to finish the Thief I slapped a Chaos Storm on the downed Thief just to put some random condi on him. The Mesmer said after the fight that my “Chaos Storm almost rallied the Thief” but did not go into specifics as to why.

Why would that happen and is that specific to Thieves, some skill or mechanic of theirs? I’ve never heard of that before.

Nah, it’s simple AoE behavior.

If chaos storm had hit any npc that the thief had also damaged, he would’ve revived if the creature died.

It was near the Mill so that must have been it. Thanks for clearing it up.

i suppose yeah if it hit an npc it could have helped the thief rally, on the other hand though it can also be lucky and give you a block which would prevent CC on you so you could finish the stomp
