Ah, the specialisation stuff has been (too) good for us, but my eyes are firmly set on Chrono to be the real game changer and will revitalise mesmer play for me.

A few things I’m chomping at the bit for:

1. Scepter/Shield – I hope this combo is every bit as awesome as I dream it will be. Especially paired with…

2. Illusions/Chrono/Inspiration, Staff + Scepter/Shield condition shatter…
Oh my kitten, there is some juicy trait synergy in here I just can’t wait to sink my teeth into. Think of Mental Defence, all the blocks, Chronophantasma and Illusionary Reversion… then condi cleanses and heals on shatter, heal and utilities… and so much more.

3. My personal favourite of DE paired with the Chrono illusion traits for solid sequential shatter cadence and dps for condition play using sword/torch which I sorely hope will remedy the crude nerf to MtD.

Anyone else a bit fed up with the extended silence on elite specs. I don’t know how long we still have to wait until HoT, but personally it can’t come soon enough. Looking forward to beta tests in the future!

I’m more excited about being able to use my Flameseeker Prophecies and spam Tides of Time every 30 seconds.

Also, being able to have 25% movement speed!

Hence me avoiding certain things and trying not to say too much, so at least we have the chance to test/play with things for a decent amount of time when the HoT hits.

Suffice to say, in whatever form I am personally interested in Chrono as a direct remedy/solution to the MtD nerf, for quite a few reasons.

Well I’m in an insane conundrum here, because whether I buy HoT or not will be based primarily on how they deal with balancing over the next several months… I’m a die hard lore fan as well, but if push comes to serve, I’ll just remain an intense lurker of the Lore Forums. Internal debates aside…:

• Delayed Reactions / Lost Time : Using my Temporal Condition Shatter build has really given me an appreciation for Time Warp and consequently how big of an impact Slow has on a fight. Mark my words, Slow will rekt people.
• pCaptainAmerica: Glorious glorious glorious! I see so many support builds cropping up with Alacrity. I’m just praying that they make it so that the phantasm throws the bouncing shield like Captain America in Marvel vs Capcom.
• Gravity Well: My mouth is still watering at the amount of interrupts you can proc from this one skill. omg I’m gonna need a bib when using this with CI & S. Inspiration.

I am looking forward to try Chronomancer/Illusions/Dueling scepter/pistol + staff build….
But from aesthetic point of view Meteorologicus & Flameseeker Prophecies FTW all the way!

time warp rekt ppl 1v1 and group fight. the slow is kitten so nice

one fight 2v3 my team member got down. i put time warp and 2 of the enemies went for the stomp. so beautiful to see it in slow motion ….

also the haste is nice

i think for chrono when it comes out many adjustment (nerf mainly) will be made
as

1. potentially clone factory with DE and chrono line
2. slow ability both is power and condi spec will get many QQ
3. the ability to return in time and shatter all over again even with no clones and IP alone can burst
4. as for now ppl have hard time to handle the power block
5. anet make the mesmer more appealing to the average player
6. daze/stun ability even more buffed with shield

Dom/Dueling/Chrono interrupt with extra mantra, slow on interrupt, extra crit on slow, slow on every 3rd crit. Interrupt Mesmer will be even more frustrating, which is what I go for.

Yeah, i’m actually hoping they nerf PU to death, so i can spec this way and don’t have to deal with it

I’ve been theorycrafting a chronomancer/illusions/chaos condi shatter build.

I’ve been playing with inspiration/illusions/chaos, so it’s going to be a bit of an adjustment. I’m currently planning on illusionary disenchanter as a big part of condi defense.

It’s going to be interesting…

greatsword+fury= infinite slow just with 1 spam on a target. seems like it may get changed.

They said the numbers were temporary when they showed them, so it probably won’t be perma-slow simply from crits/interrupts.

Personally I’m super hyped over the wells. I love their animations and concept. I’ve got a chrono-support build in mind that I’m super curious about.

CHAOS/INSPIRATION/CHRONO

sword/shield+staff

alacrity well, mimic, blink.

Chronophantasma. Alacrity boost, and well trait. Planning to use mimic+f5 to drop 4 alacrity wells back to back.

Also, that 20s brutal damaging of calamity? Gots me some ideas for that bad boy with Greatsword and chaotic interruption

Oh, and with wells covering my AoE/team support stuff, I can run sw/sw scepter/shield without feeling bad haha

I think a Domination/Illusions/Chromomancer spec with Chronophantasma + Persistance of memory could make for a great Shatter/Phantasm Hybrid spec. Just pump out three phantasms, shatter, and then pump out another three. No DPS lost!
