You’re right, it has been confirmed and proven many times over. What was confirmed and proven was that Chronomancer and base mesmer are woefully underpowered right now, in both PvE and PvP (though especially PvE) and need damage buffs.

I’m thinking there’s a user error issue on your end mate.

He debunked nothing. He offered his opinion, same as you. Fact of the matter is that a very highly skilled player is very good on a mesmer period. But a player of that skill will also be good on any class if they know the class well enough. That isn’t any sort of argument that mesmers are OP if only the best mesmer players in the world reach the level he was talking about. The class would be OP if completely average players were able to reach that level but they cannot. Average mesmers can be absolutely demolished.

You absolutely have to stop talking about mesmer as if everyone who plays it plays it as best as can be played, because that just isn’t true. Its the hardest class to master mechanically.

What is needed is for you to post this video of the current mesmer being God level according to you. Post that video and then the discussion can continue. Stop deflecting, we know that you have no evidence to back up your claim. Condi got buffed last patch for mesmers with torch buff.

Condi shatter got buffed indirectly from all the nerfs other classes got.

The meta condi shatter mesmer was indirectly buffed by all the nerfs to other classes.

Took literally a good five minutes for me to compose myself irl on this one. I didn’t post on this thread because while the current condition build is way overtuned in the wrong ways, I understand the kit enough to know the changes didn’t really affect the good builds at all.

But this comment… a blanket statement claiming that the mesmer is underpowered? Holy crap this is the definition of nescience. It’s got low personal DPS, yes, to which it’s a tough nut to crack to fix it because of the shatter mechanic. Power shatter wasn’t top-tier because of the ridiculous overpoweredness of the HoT power creep, and thus wasn’t played (like pretty much anything else in the old school power-burst mentality). But the profession being underpowered as a whole? That’s just an absurd remark, particularly when looking at its strictly mandatory use in WvW and absolutely dominating performance in small-scale combat.

That doesn’t mean I don’t think the mesmer needs a lot of changes. Like the thief, it needs a lot of re-examination to make into a better profession as a whole in what it’s capable of doing. But to call it underpowered on the profession-level is just simply absurd.

You say very little, give very little justification or arguments for your many (and I mean many; albeit reoccurring) claims because if you do, they get dismantled and shown as false very quickly. So it’s no wonder you withhold answering anything and respond only with non sequitur. Over, and over again.

What’s so entertaining is the avid, quite possibly fanatical devotion to it. If you really want to shock us, try answering for the things you say. Maybe you’ll get some better feedback from the large number of intelligent, positive contributors to this forum, not to mention the class.

So it’s no wonder you withhold answering anything and respond only with non sequitur. Over, and over again.

What’s so entertaining is the avid, quite possibly fanatical devotion to it. If you really want to shock us, try answering for the things you say. Maybe you’ll get some better feedback from the large number of intelligent, positive contributors to this forum, not to mention the class.

This is amazing. But honestly its falling on deaf ears, if he hasn’t listened by now he won’t listen to this logic either. Doesn’t even matter that he contradicts himself, he doesn’t seem to care.
