Guild Wars 2

Hey guys!

I’m planning to make a Mes and was wondering what stat is best to maximize? also what weapons are good? I’ll most likely pvp with this guy and was planning to use GS/ Sw/P..Although I am open minded to anything. Give me a run down of what I need to know about Mesmers

I currently have no knowledge of Mesmers currently so please help a brother out

Go to Lyssa’s Grimoire at the top of the mesmer forums. It has just about everything you need to know.

Like dondagora said, mostly everything you need to know is in the brolic stickied guide, but some quick notes to get ya rolling:

• Precision is almost always the most important stat for Mesmer, whether it be a Power or Condition build. Zerker, Assassins, or Rabid is the way to go.

• GS Sw/P is for power builds, you can run an effective Shatter, Lockdown, or Phantasm build with that spec.

• Deceptive Evasion (Dueling X) is almost required. There are some builds that can run without it, but you have to be fairly knowledgeable about that class. Alternatively, please don’t end up with crappy dodging habits trying to spam clones.

• Your ideal utilities for most builds are Decoy, Blink, Portal, iDisenchanter, Null Field, and Mantra of Resolve. You generally want to always have atleast Decoy or Blink and a condition removal.

• Ideal Runes are Lyssa, Hoelbrak, Strength, Mesmer, and Pack among others for power builds. Energy Sigils are a must somwhere in the build.

• Shatter and Lockdown are difficult to learn, but very rewarding. Condition builds tend to be easier to pick up but harder to be effective in groups with.

• Everyone respects a good shatter Mesmer. =P
