Condi Mesmer Build for Ranked/WvW
Why are you advertising ranked pvp play and using pu? This build looks good for wvw roaming and small engagements. Condi losses effects with more players. So zerging would go power.
In response to Denis I’m advertising ranked because this works in rank. I can post screenshots of high ranked matches against recognized players where I’m first place in top kills, defends, and points. It is rare that I’m not top player on a team (I solo queue) and play ranked only. I think posting screenshots with other players names on the forums is against the rules but I can upload them send them to you and you can confirm it here. Condi used to lose effectiveness with more players because we didn’t have this much application before. Played properly you can aoe bomb areas in team fights dropping multiple people. With the current changes its not about long duration sticking conditions for Mesmer, kills are made through constant application which we can do well.
Good luck getting condies to stick against a decent team though. Guard, ele, ele, aaaaand condies don’t stick for more than a second or two. Add the insane amounts of transfers that necros have and are running, and you’ve got a lot of trouble on your hands.
Meanwhile, guard drops cleansing flames on point, and pulses 3 stacks of burning every second for long enough to kill anyone that stands on it.

@ Fay, I have seen the screen shots of this build used in spvp matches against recognized players. As Feral pointed out, it isn’t about long duration, it is about application. As with any build that someone doubts, I would recommend at least either seeing the proof that it does work, or trying it out personally, before negating it.
The proof is the lack of representation in tournament play against quality teams. A team not 1/2 random names in a match. Also stealth for long durations negates the primary pvp mode. Hence the opposition. Also pre patch maim was in a better place.
Hrm, I would say neither stealth nor conditions are a good pick for either large-scale WvW or ranked. Especially the latter.
That isn’t to say that it cannot work in random match-ups. But get an organized team or a partial team and you’ll never get any condition to stick on them, as their auto-procs keep cleansing them off. Plus stealth means you cannot do anything, and they happily cash in the points.

+1
from my testing (and video posted) the build viable as holding far or close points even in some 1v2 till help comes.
in mid where you have 4v4 or 3v3 if there is ele and/or guard your condi wont goona stick but you will make the ele to be more on water and guard to use cleanse so if your team is good they can burst the ele fast after he gets out of water. etc.
but again condi guard and necro and engi can do it the sae if not better
our burst condi was nerf and we got blind to support us bit more and 1 confusion stack. so now instead of 20 torment and 10 confusion i can do 15 confusion and 8 torment you do the math (moving>skill use)
condi mesmer are great in 1v1 (romaing and hot join) but to be effective in group play you need to play it right with the right group composition
also cause the meta shofted to full power now the bunker lost its place. this is why condi mesmer can shine. as you can hold 1v1 and some 1v2 while doing dmg
