I agree with the first point. The 1s distortion is (can be) a game changer for that phantasm. AoE will kill the warden before it can start to spin.
Maybe the developers can consider this.

It’s not a drawback… It’s bad design. I suspect the devs ran out of ideas where to put the Protected Phantasms trait and so they smacked it in the same tier as Warden’s Feedback.

Bad design is bad design, no need to bring up oranges when we’re talking about apples. Why should this one Phantasm be left out of this change that basically everyone agrees should really be a baseline functionality of Phantasms anyway?
It won’t change a thing about balance anywhere, aside from making Phantasms actually remotely viable in WvW and PvE.
They have every right to point out this discrepancy. That’s what feedback is for. :P
Yeah, it makes no sense to me. Warden’s Feedback is only worthwhile against large groups, but if you want to do any damage against a large group you have to use Protected Phantasms…
Hurting mesmer raid builds is a pretty bad idea. I rarely see any mesmers during ocx/sea raids anymore.

Does iDefender absorb damage for other Phantasms or just other players? Maybe we just need to chain Evade → Warden.
Agreed that it would make more sense to have the 1s Phantasm Distortion in combination with Warden’s Feedback, though.

Finchy Whyte – Sylvari Ranger
Swap Restorative Illusions (GM major) with Temporal Enchanter (master major). RI should be the grandmaster trait here.
Swap Protected Phantasms (master major) with Healing Prism (GM minor).
So overall that would mean choosing between traited focus, traited glamours or buffed aoe healing. Then having Protected Phantasms an automatic minor choice, and the choice between RI, II and iDefender on evade for grandmaster.
I’m sorry I can’t think properly at the moment but I’m sure there are many other ways to juggle around the Inspiration traits to make it a more coherent line.

I am sorry but I have to defend the distortion trait.
The dev mentioned it will be effective only over a very small radius, you really have to stack with whoever you want to share your distortion with. You only need ONE teammate to stand slightly further away from you to hold point.
However, I agree that the exclusion of warden phantasm from distortion trait is bad. I would be happy if these two traits swap positions.

what is a small radius? 60?,180? 240? 360?
i think 240 (not sure) is already a pvp area point. This is not helpfull if all your team get distortion
