And so I have wandered off into the Necromancer forums and issued a challenge/invitation. This weekend we’ll be having some Mesmer vs Necro competition with some duels and ideally a nice big GvG battle!

Hello, necro here. According to what I’ve read on our forum and some chats with other necros in game, it seems that most of us want to chicken-out on this epic showdown.

Tbh, up until I read your feedback on the mesmer vs necro perspective I wasn’t even aware that people generally see the odds in your favour. So I hope this will happen sooner or later, I’m always up for a challenge.

^ Kinda funny actually; seeing as Condi Necros normally should have high chances of defeating anything that isn’t a skilled interrupt Mesmer... especially if you consider that many Mesmers don’t even run any condition removal. Yet, it seems that most people expect Mesmers to be utterly defeating Necros with ease... *scratches head*

Unfortunately, the Necros were not able to put a team together. =[ Many also weren’t too confident about 1v1s.

Their guild is still new though, so maybe in the future!

I’ll set sights on Wind (ranger guild) and see if they’re up to it this weekend

Just a quick update on the necro side. I’m now EU leader of our guild, so should there be any mesmer challengers on EU servers, please contact me. I’ll gladly duel any of you. If you can get more people I’ll just force some of our necros to join me battle!
