You’re also spamming evades while you do all of this. Funny story though, other classes don’t really have access to privileges Mesmer has. Maybe Thief but Mesmer does better in team fights.

Point is though, how is this class not a skill-less anti-fun piece of garbage again? Oh I know, Mesmers are like “If I’m doing it it’s all skill-based but if other people kill me it’s OP and they need to buff mesmers.”

P.S Not only is mesmer not UP right now, they are also very easy to play. Why don’t you privileged kids play DPS Warrior or DPS Necro with no lich form and see how that works out for y’all?
P.S#2 most of you are going to come back crying to your Mesmer because of how it’s such an easy glass cannon to play.

Just posting here so I can say I got a post in before it went south.

Nothing in this game is inherently hard to play. Squishy classes with no condi removal however tend to be harder to play than cele classes. The problem here is, there’s a difference between meta builds and non-meta builds. You obviously play berserker warrior. There are certain berserker warrior builds that are good (GS/LB 40406) but you probably play something stupid like A/S GS 56003. The thing is, I can make a crappy glass build like that on any class and it would be “hard to play” because it just straight up sucks in comparison to everything else. Especially since you said power necro, which NEEDS to be babysat vs even somewhat coordinated players and is only used for lich. Who are YOU to tell others what to play?

If a mesmer plays the way you describe it, you have to beat it.
He uses izerker, you dodge (1/2)
He uses mirror blade, you dodge (2/2)
He has 1 illusion up, if he shatters that, you’ll loose 2k HP, oh no, that will kill you for sure! Maybe you could use one of the three thousand seconds of endure pain that you have on warrior if you’re so concerned about taking that damage.
If he dodges 2x to get 3 illusions up, you’ll loose 6k HP, oh no, you’re gonna loose all your 20k HP from that! He has no dodges anymore at this point.
Autoattack him 3 times or put a bleed stack on the mesmer = win.
You don’t even have to dodge kitten, hell, you can counterpressure me with damage, I’ll go down 10 times before you do.

I wish people would ask how to beat mesmer and what they can do to improve their play against the class instead of insulting every mesmer player and ranting their kitten off, but no, they have to hide their lack of experience/knowledge in order to protect their fragile ego.

My mesmer is a loot bag, as they say in WvW. In recent days, I duelled about 10 times with a warrior: at best warrior’s health went to 50%. One time I got warrior to downed state but I felt warrior had just some problems.

Today in WvW a warrior got me easily by sweeping with greatsword. I simply run out of dodges, invis, skills… health drops pretty fast. And I had just made build similar to Osicat’s Napalm – not exactly as I could not find exact matching gear. I have similar to Maximum’s build.

I’m about to quit WvW because I don’t know how to play mesmer for winning 1v1 fights, or for escaping from 1v2 fights or solo pew pew ranger.

Warrior can rampage and overrun mesmer in seconds – even a new warrior player without highly tuned traits and skills. What mesmer can rampage warrior down in seconds?

Not trying to be mean but I don’t think it means much… I was watching this warrior duelling a shatter mes and he lost 7/7. Than I decided to duel the mes since he seemed pretty good. I beat him 3/3 with CI 4/4/6. But I find warriors, good warriors hard to beat, especially when using bow/xxx

MeGamesMa!! I thought you had vanished! Good to see ya, and yeah I sorta quit for a few and then got dragged back. I don’t play nearly as often as I used to, and spend most of my time teaching newer players, but I’ve made quite a few friends here that I didn’t wan a lose touch with. Whenever I’m not bottled down by work or martial arts I try to hop on.

@Anni Are ya on US or EU? Sounds like yer having trouble managing your defensive cooldowns, we could work on that in the arena if you’d like.
