Mesmer Personality Quiz! Exclamation Points!
Was writing the guide yesterday (Yes, its still being worked on and good lord this thing is way bigger & more time consuming than I thought… which is what she said.) and while I was testing skills… I noticed an interesting quirk with Illusionary Leap (Sword 3)
I have it on video and will update later today, and note that this ONLY affects iLeap clones. Was tested in the mists…
1) Cast iLeap on one target.
2) Cast iLeap on a second target.. both leap clones will lunge towards the second target.
3) Cast iLeap on a third target, all three (even those beyond 600 range) will lunge at the third target.
I even swapped to staff to see if my staff clone would Wolverine-lunge at my target with my sword clones.. it did not.
What I didn’t test is if this only effects iLeap sword clones or if Deceptive Evasion sword clones will also lunge
That’s pretty interesting; had no idea the ileap clones behaved this way. I believe it is intended, and not a bug, according to the Wiki:
“Upon activation, a sword clone is created and only all existing clones created by this skill will dash ~800 range units towards the target, each applying 1s crippled to the target if they hit. "
Well in a 1vX situation that’s a good way to get 3 sword clones on one target right away, especially if your packing sharper images. That guy is going to be running once they all focus on him.

Interesting. I don’t imagine it comes up very often, since a melee clone isn’t likely to survive the 10 to 12 seconds it takes to meet his sibling. (Me: “What are you still doing here? F1”) But cool none the less.
Interesting. Don’t know how practical an application this could have, but I suppose it could add a slightly quicker shatter.
This bug/intended use of the skill was found about 2 months after the game was released I think but the thread it was on got buried in all the other ones at the time due to lack of replies . As for how effective it is the clone is normally shattered,replaced or killed within 10 – 12 seconds so becides from some interesting movement every so often it is hard to take advantage of this.
