Guild Wars 2

Hey guys hows it going. I’ve been on this forums on and off and decided to be a part of it since i finnaly made my mesmer.

The goal i want for this mesmer is to be my PvE toon since i have all the other classes specified as a PvP/WvW class.

At times i was leveling up low level i like it since i never did the Asuran story at low level and now that im passed the personal story which is picking the order now i need more to do. So far i have completed AC all paths and currently about to start CM which is the one and queensdale. I am lvl 42 on mesmer at the moment.

Anyways as a mesmer, what do you do in PvE/ Do you enjoy it/How useful are you to the party.

This is gonna sounds strange coming from a 90% PvPer like me but.. Honestly? I really enjoy jumping puzzles. Being able to portal my homies when they fail is always pretty satisfying.

I play weird non-meta builds and so i always find opportunities to experiment with all my utilities. One thing Mesmer really excels at is reflects, such as traited focus and Feedback. Blinking to weird spaces, being able to pull/kite as many mobs as I want, and always having at least SOMETHING entirely unique to offer to a party is what makes it fun for me.

Mesmer is such a swiss-army-knife of utility that you can always find a creative solution for any problem. Sometimes you have to be creative to get by!

I love the mesmer in pve, however I’ve been playing him for a long time now. I think the mesmer is only useful for the team when he exactly knows what he’s doing, unlike a warrior who simply can summon the banners and faceroll on semigood weapons wich is also kinda efficient enough. I guess that’s the reason why mesmer players often become elitists. But I have to agree, I’m guilty myself, I hate it too to have a semigood mesmer in party. Every other class would be more useful then. >_> but still, Mesmer are awesome and you can do so much with the class. As Archangel said: you ahve to be creative!
